    Portugal is amazing you'll love it! Azores and Madeira are beautiful spots to consider. If you're road tripping into Portugal consider Obidos, Aveiro and Costa Nova, small towns that are fun short visit or nights stay.

    Great to travel with a baby but your travel days will become very short in terms of usable hours and your new traveling companion is very inflexible! We traveled with both our children a lot when they were both less than 12 months (what were we thinking). Tips: it will cost more but book with good airlines, delays don't work with babies nor do red eyes and Qantas broke our pram with baby 1's first trip and left our luggage at our departure point with baby 2's first trip. You will be allocated a seat in the 'baby zone' on the plane! Take time to get to Europe if you can with a few day stopovers. Book accommodation in quite areas with views and good access to take away/cooking options. Your new traveling companion doesn't like late night dinners (ie after 6:30pm) so lots of nights in. Take your own cot and pram for flexibility and lots of nappies (Murphy's law applies the supermarket closest to your accommodation will not have the correct nappies for your baby gender/weight when you need it).
    Visit locations where you can visit family/friends rather than 'see' things remember usable hours are short.
    Remember a crying baby in public does not reflect on your parenting skills despite the looks you get from those without children while traveling.
    Keep up the great work look forward to the videos from the trip.

    Congrats Alex to you and Carrie. Very excited to follow you on your up and coming adventures. We are heading to Portugal to explore Porto and Lisbon, so that would be my recommendation. We have been subscribers to Google Fi for years and it works great when traveling.

    We used Google Fi (even though we live in New Zealand now). Our first trip abroad with our now toddler exciting. He threw up on the flight and got covid and a stomach bug. We ended up in the hospital in the US for him during our 3 week trip. All the best to you guys!

    Some of the best surfing in Europe in Portugal's west coast! The Atlantic coast is beautiful and not too crowded. Between Oporto and the Spanish border.
    We are driving to Scandinavia this summer from Spain.
    Can't recommend the Dolomites enough❤

    What about Spain and Portage? By the way it is the best time to travel with infant before she starts walking. My daughter took her son and we did this trip to Greece last October. Her son was not even 2 months. It was wonderful.

      Use stroller butterfly by brand “buoabo” . It can go inside the plane. You fold it and it becomes tiny. They don’t recommend for infant but believe me it worked well for our 2 months old grandson.

    Definitely a good travel plan. In Northern Italy, the lake region would be great with a baby, such as lago di Como, lago Maggiore, lago di Garda, rent a car, and you'll enjoy a lot.

    I would avoid Italy as it is so busy. Portugal and Norway should less stressful considering traveling with an infant.

    Thanks for sharing about Airlo. I don't know if you've ever used Google Fi, which allows you to just show up to most countries and have service for no extra fee, but their customer service is BEYOND HORRIBLE!!! I'm glad to find this alternative (plus, I live in Mexico now and I think you have to live in the US to have Google Fi...and they cut you off if you're abroad too long)

      We have been looking into a Norway cruise. Perfect with a baby as you don’t have the hassle of travel but you have all the adventure! You’re never far from a changing area or ice cream. What more could you need 😆

    all sounds great but travelling with a baby is very hard. Yours will be a lot younger when she travels compared to my son as he was 18 months. Please also remember right now measles is on the rise all over especially in europe. They are not recommending any travel to kids under 6 months right now as parents can get their child an extra MMR vaccine at 6 months plus there regular MMR at 1 year and 4 years old. Its only people who are travelling and not vaccinated getting sick right now. Please reconsider until she can get the vaccine.

    • @irinavavrinyuk7504
      @irinavavrinyuk7504 2 місяці тому

      I disagree with you. My best memories are when we traveled with kids. It is all how you plan your trip. You have to be flexible and not have specific ways to do things. For example, kids should able fall asleep and sleep at any places or atmosphere.
