My advise to anyone thinking about traveling to Cuba. There are many beautiful and free islands in the Caribbean; go there instead. Why support a regime that oppresses people? I know the prices are irresistible; 300 Euros with everything included. That's because the government keeps100% of what you spend there. Travel with your conscience. Go to a place that is modern and clean where you can freely travel around and don't have to encounter beggars asking you for extra Euros or Dollars.

Cubans are allowed to sell about 40% of their produce privately, if you over there and pay with your Euro, Pound or Dollar you will be giving these people a lifeline to buy necessary products from non-subsidised stocks provided by the US and European governments, these shops are very well stocked with anything from Milk to Coca-Cola, but only available if you have foreign currency.
