Bringing a few old bags with you when shopping is a really easy way to stop relying on new plastic bags. This can enormously help protect our wildlife and the environment.
In the UK, over 5 million tonnes of plastic is used each year and only 1/4 is recycled. The other 3/4 take hundreds of years to break down, polluting soils, rivers and oceans.
With so much of this plastic entering our environment, harming wildlife and damaging ecosystems, it's more important than ever that we stand up to plastic.
The good news is that it's easy and inexpensive to do! Reach into your bag of bags as you head out next time you shop. Take a stand against plastic and show your support for a more sustainable future.
