i really like this model! i just made it today, and im satisfied with the outcome! Although it was a bit complex, its a very good origami highly recommend it
I don’t know I still like the gato cat more. I typically opt for more realistic models but the gato cat just looks so clean, and sometimes in origami realism =/= the best.

It's my third model after the basic crane and a much simpler cat - had a fantastic time folding it for...2,5 hours?...it took so long but it was definitely a great experience :)
I just made it and gotta say, this one was tough. I did seth friedmans rhino and jo nakashimas mantis, and this one gave me more issues than either. But the result is pretty damn cool, definitely the best cat ive seen. Cant wait to make the next one

The most important thing is that it has two colours. Some possibilities: kami, tissue foil, double tissue, mulberry glued on another paper, sandwich....

It's a wonderfull model. There's a couple of tricky foldings but in general the result is beautiful.
I am fascinated by the emphasis and hinting at absolutely trivial and basic folds :-)

I tried the Seth Friedman model but it requires good quality paper and super accurate creasing, I had to throw it away. I will try this one asap
