I think when it comes to trusting your lover, it's all or nothing. You can't just test someone like that with such an unrealistic set ups and temptings. No, that would just make things worse because that means they will spend the rest of their relationship with that secret getting between them, and that would adversely affect the intimacy of the relationship. Could you imagine being "gold digger tested" and then finding out years later, after you've married someone and had kids with them?! That would be absolutely devastating to me and put a lot of doubt in my mind about whether my husband trusted me.
