As I’m reviewing the past episodes I love the uniform belief of transfer value in everything that you do. It has become one of those foundational principles of my own training. Thank you Susan 🤗 and thank all of you support staff ❤️🤗

You certainly need to be on TV. All dog lovers regardless how much training they have had, can definitely gain information and clarity by listening to you. Thanks Susan.

"Relationships develop when good choices are made that your partner likes." You speak the truth. Thank you for that.

I have had that ultra rare rescue dog story with Sugar, a middle aged Border Collie who was adopted in her last hour. I enjoyed the best dog in the world for almost 10 years. 💖

I love the section on heart dogs! All of my dogs have been heart dogs - even many of my fosters...and the part about clarity. Yes, please! I have been listening to these in the car and around the house (cooking, cleaning...) and then having my hubby listen to certain ones and this was really important about the clarity!

Love this. What she is saying is truth. She really gets it. Our dogs WANT to understand and know what they are supposed to do. They don't learn this on their own.

Our dogs always do the BEST they can with the EDUCATION they are given in the ENVIRONMENT we expect them to perform in.
Susan Garrett I’ve just laminated this. ❤❤❤

Choices.. such important central component.. trying to think outside the box to apply it to all aspects.. love the examples outside dog training helps to adapt it to other areas in life 😊

Dogs are so amazing at reading their person's body language, tone of voice and key words that they fool us into thinking they understand. My dogs have amazed me many times but I always try to remember that they are dogs and it's not fair to expect them to be anything else.

So true words, I see Bichon Frise owners treating their dogs like human babies and end up with many problems, no boundaries, not knowing what's expected. I do CGC, tricks and HSTD while in lockdown and my girl is happy well mannered and obedient. Couldn't imagine life any other way!

Video review: 0:00-0:48 Thanks for pointing that as animal rights activist. I too am concerned how animals are treated behind the scene. Not that I'm perfect. Animal rights activists also place high expectations on activists themselves!.
4:00 Harry (pictured) is the dog of my soulmate/heart dog . Always wanted an English Bulldog since 1985. Took 32 yrs to manifest into reality. However, he's my 1st pet as an adult. As you've said, relationships take work be it pet or human. There's also articles on how dogs characteristics are a reflection of their human.
Q: Is it true that dogs take 3 months to adjust to their environment and gain trust?. A FB friend who rehabs special needs dogs posted that.

I ask people who their Disney dog is. Because you are so correct. TV has hurt dogs

I just had an epiphany, about the dopamine rush a dog gets when he chooses, um.., I think I won't respond to that cue. I think I'll chew the ball a little before I bring it to you. Or I will choose to run up the hill and visit the other dog and THEN I will come when called. And how our cue can become associated with the dopamine reinforcement that is available in making the WRONG choice. Everyone wants their dogs off leash but unless we have a controlled environment it's so easy for dogs to discover the joy of a joyride.

I would like to know how long to be walking a young puppy? You talk about walking them 1-2 hours a day, at what age?
