    I was hunting in 14 degree weather yesterday morning, there are times where that full plastic grip feels mighty good compared to side plates.

    Thank you for the great video. After a ton of tinkering 😉, I ended up shooting a longer BACK bar and a shorter FRONT bar. This balances my setup better due to my sight configuration and no bow quiver. I have tried to get my family (mom, brother, kids) to go to a more "target" stabilizer set up for their bows. To no avail! I out shoot them every time but they are not seeing the light. Thanks again.

    • @steveh2487
      @steveh2487 2 роки тому +2

      I did the same thing on my V3 27" because the bow felt so top heavy. Short bar up front with 1oz. And a 2" longer bar on the rear with 3oz. Lots of arrows shot and changes made until I got it where I like it.

    Funny I just posted a comment about this yesterday on another elk shape video.
    Been using the Chris Bee grip on my V3-31 for about 6 months.
    Hands-down better than the stock engage grip that comes on the bow.
    I’ve always been a fan of shooting off of the riser so because I never stop tinkering with my rigs I decided I want to try out a set of side plates. So ordered a set of the White Elk Shape side plates for my Elevated 2 camo V3.
    Looks sick!
    Just so much better for me.
    I really didn’t think my groups could shrink more than they already have with the Chris Bee grip but they have.
    The Elk Shape Side plates came with some non-slip adhesive strips for the option of putting them on the front or back of the riser. I decided to put one of them on the backside where my palm would be.
    Looks like it would be a good idea to keep the riser from sliding around with wet or sweaty hands at full draw.
    Will see whether or not I leave it on.
    The side plates had a little bit of rough edges around them that I was able to feel in my palm that drove my OCD crazy when I did a dry fit.
    I was quickly able to smooth the rough edges out with a small piece of 800 grit sandpaper.
    All in all awesome side plates.
    Ordering another set in white for my Granite V3X-29.

    Quick question pertaining to the slimmer grips, what would be a good way of avoiding the colder grip especially in the winter times? I hunt Wisconsin, don’t like to shoot with gloves though that is something I’m going to be messing around with using the Sitka fanatic gloves this year. But I know that grip can get cold, and removing the soft rubber grip will make it colder. How can I prevent it? I’ve seen people but tape but it just doesn’t look great. Any feedback or ideas would be awesome and greatly appreciated! Thanks!
