So sad to hear this side of kitchen...truly kitchen was lightyears it sounds like athis young woman was used, abused and abandon. Left out in the cold with his children. I have total respect for...(is it) Valarie?. The moral of her story to me is that "Love Conquers All". Thanks Caribbean Insight for revealing the true life stories of our Caribbean/ Trini Kaiso and Soca low-life's.

I love Kitch and happened to come across an article about Valarie in a Trini paper fighting for her land. I'm glad she still in Rainorama. That's how I found out about her and being his kids mom. I like Kitch but he didn't do right by the sister.

Lord Kitchener was a great composer, singer, performer. He has always been one of my favorite calypsonians.❤️. Is Valerie his dancer? Wow she was awesome! ❤️ Seems like he was insecure and maybe because she was so much younger, he was afraid he would lose her. Especially since his first marriage did not work. But no he was very wrong to mistreat Valerie and their four children. I'm glad Valerie is alright now.

It is always sad what we find when we look too deeply into musical heroes. Just like learning that Sparrow didn’t write so many of his songs, it shatters the image that we have of these icons. Kitchener too was a human and no human is perfect. Thank you Caribbean Insight for continuing to keep up the culture!

All have sinned and come short of His glory.
Wickedness was responsible for the other side of Kitchener. We wrestle not against flesh and blood but principalities in HIGH places.

Good Calypsonian but rotten husband. From the time she said he came to pick her up and she hid among her coworkers and then he said to her that she saw him but she was with a man I said he sounds pocessive. No wonder some of them die the way they do.

Wow I’m blown away there’s always 2 sides to a story , the other party is deceased so we will never get to hear the other side , however conning her into signing over property to him under false pretenses with the ultimate intention of giving it to his side piece is very devious and it all came full circle when she signed it over to her sister who then wanted to put him out , well I wish her and family all the best kitch was truly talented hopefully he made up with his kids and they forgave him before he passed .

Omg😮...I grew up in the sixties and seventies and I loved kitchener...I loved all his calypso music...he got this beautiful sexy girl who could wine and treated her like waste, like a doormat...old people say, 'see me and come live with me is two different things...and they were quite correct in this, instance...he was a bully a womanizer and he controlled her...and those kids...he put a woman before his kids...shameful 😢...you are a strong black woman mam ❤

Ladies, Valarie is not the first also not the last woman, this has been happening to our grandmothers and great ones, very interesting story, most men are easily led, by that fleshy organ of a woman that’s called V/J, four children, robbed her from her young life, used her to build his business, what was he thinking,……..EVE’s will be always here,in today’s society they could not have gotten that far, ‘see the other woman set up her own demise, thanks to Jah she and the children got what was always theirs. Even though women are much smarter today it’s still happening. Tons of blessings to U Val.
