this isn't marine corps, its more like navy or coast guard stuff (beginning) its also more of a rangers thing too because on d-day but oh well
my user used to be a marine tho

tips for destroyer captains:
- always flank (go to a side (left, right) at full speed), never go straight
- go directly towards your target facing it with your front, when close enough make a sharp 90° turn and let the torpedo gunners open fire then turn another 90° and drive away to reload, repeat after reload
- dont go too close to battleships or other destroyers
- make sure you have all torpedo tubs manned
- have at least 1 anti air in the first 5 minutes
- retreat is better then getting sunk
and that's how i clutched a 1v4 with an Orion destroyer
basically did the same but traded with enemy destroyer
imagine a marine just starts doing front flips on the battle field

Blue is the kind of guy to go down with the ship
that's not right. Making yourself a smaller target will not help you. Turning to the side so you can give them a full broadside is better because battleships were designed to take hits and keep firing. If they have the distance and elevation a full broadside works best. Because more guns means more rounds on target, If they are facing towards you. You have the advantage.
