That was the original idea. However room under the truck is a premium. The truck is also coming due for preventative maintenance stuff which will take priority over other things for the time being unfortunately.
If I ever install a horn, the plan is to install a new air compressor since the one I have is coming up on 20 years old and at least one tank, maybe two under the passenger side doors. As for other motorists reactions? I typically do not use the bell in traffic, so I can't say.
@@WindersRanger You would want at least 11 gallons to sufficiently run a 5 chime Nathan AirChime K horn. If you are looking for efficiency with both space and air usage, look at getting a Nathan AirChime P3 on a low 3 chime manifold if possible.
Great job! I’ve been wanting to do this on my truck. Totally useful for passing strings of parked cars, and on construction sites.
That's really cool. I like how cleanly you mounted it. You should get a horn next.

@@WindersRanger Yeah. You would also need a larger tank for a locomotive horn. Also, what are people's reactions on the road lol?

Should have gone with an E-Bell
Why? This bell works just fine.
Where can I source one for my semi truck 🧐
Check flea bay
@@WindersRanger I didn’t know it was possible to put a locomotive bell on a pickup tuck.
I wasn't sure either, but I was able to make it work.
