Andreas Angelidakis | POST-RUIN Bentivoglio

Andreas Angelidakis e il curatore Antonio Grulli parlano di Post-Ruin Bentivoglio, il progetto che l’artista greco ha pensato per i nostri spazi sotterranei.
Attraverso video, sculture e installazioni ambientali, Angelidakis riflette sull’idea di rovina tanto nell’antichità quanto oggi, evocando personaggi circondati da un’aura leggendaria, come il filosofo Diogene di Sinope e il mercante d’arte Alexander Iolas, e interrogandoci sul modo in cui abitiamo il mondo tramite gli oggetti che compriamo e le immagini che condividiamo.
Andreas Angelidakis and curator Antonio Grulli talk about Post-Ruin Bentivoglio, a project by the Greek artist especially conceived for our subterranean rooms.
Using videos, sculptures and spatial installations, Angelidakis reflects on the concept of ruin both in the antiquity and today by evoking legendary figures, namely philosopher Diogenes of Sinope and art dealer Alexander Iolas, and asking us to consider how we inhabit our space through the objects we buy and the images we share.
