The narrow storage next to the stove is ideal for storing oven baking or sheet pans and the sink covers.

Yes it is! Thats exactly what I use it for! My husband and I bought our Solitude in 2020. It is a 2021 model. We love ours!! There are only a few changes in this 2023 model. In the huge bathroom(rear). The bedroom has drawers under bed in front. Ours doesnt. Thin cupboard over refrigerator. And the refrig is different. All the shades in the 2023 are all black, ours are cream. Just slight changes, which Im happy about. Our Solitude has helped my Husband and I in seeing the USA!! Having a BLAST!!!😊

Wanted to see the half bath
Nice looking RV. My Only negative thoughts on it are not enough room on each side of the Stove. Most people don't want to walk in and under the shower head. They wanna walk in and have the shower head away from them.
I think the drawers in the pantry are excellent. I just watched a walk through of a family who has lived in the grand design for 3 years and she said it made it so much easier to not lose things in the back.
We made our own pullouts in our S-class pantry. Pull out wire shelf organizer that is soft close. We then screwed that in to a nicely stained wood panel that sits on top of and is anchored into a pantry shelf. this gives easy access to things in the back. It takes up about 3/4 of the shelf space, so we still have space for things that we don't access as often.
Beautiful full body paint. When we bought our 2016 5th wheel in 2015, I was against spending an extra $5000 for full body paint but we did. So we are now in our 9th camping season, with loving care by my husband, our 5th wheel looks new. So go for the paint. So worth it.

@@svrfx3573 too hard to see floor plan on this post, on my phone... the POINT is there was a door in kitchen they did not show what was behind it... I think it may be a half bath as already a pantry in kitchen.

I'll take it. Love the red, white and blue! The only things I would change is - I would like it easier to secure chairs at dinette. Also, like the material on slide outs, just not black. Love our Grand Design trailer, so a GD fifth wheel would be great.

It's a beautiful 5th wheeler personally I would not want somebody walking through my bedroom to go to the bathroom. And I love the idea there's a living room separate from the kitchen. I don't know how would work but another small bathroom is just a sink and toilet shower.

Love the counterspace. The small storage next to the stove would be great for storing oven pans like baking sheets. Beautiful unit but would prefer the open floor plan in the kitchen living area. Tfs...The light over the table is overhead lighting I would say.
Love the pantry but wish there are bigger counters next to the stove.

This is a beautiful 5th wheel RV. I'd like to have it. I love the red, white, and blue full body paint. The interior is beautiful and I'd love to have this RV full time living rather than camping.
Love the layout of this 5th wheel. It fits wifey and I with what we are looking for and needing/wanting in our next 5th wheel.
Love big dual sink. Love the stairs overall because it would be easier to use that loft for storage.
Diffenitly love the full couch, pantry and the toilet not sticking out in the way like our Keystone Avalanche. Would love to see half bath in back.

I would just call the light over the table an overhead light. You’re just in the kitchen and I’m in love with this one! The pantry, I love it! The only I would change (in any panty) would be to make the top shelves sliders, like are in some lower cabinets. At 5’3” tall and disabled I could not (no way, no how) reach up and back there but if I could pull them out, I could get to them easier. As is, I wouldn’t be able to see what’s in the back, especially on the top shelf. Just giving my thoughts that might make it more accessible. Love it! Love it! Love it! ❤ Great video guys!

Thanks for showing! I love your wife with you on these presentations. Things I would like: a booth dining table that makes into a bed. That would be an eight person RV. Storage above every tip out. No glass on the doors! It might look good, but it sure is not as private or as sturdy. I think the kitchen only had a slide on one side but I would like one on each side. A couple of lofts would really be nice! 😅
I would like a darker wood finish. I also want to see not only the blackout shades but also privacy shades. Nice rig 😊
I love the pantry! I love the kitchen!! The kitchen separated from the living space is great.
This camper makes my heart go piddy pat! 😊maybe they put that piece in front of fireplace to help the slide move easier.

We just saw this one in person yesterday and it’s pretty amazing. In my opinion, one of the best floor plans I’ve ever seen and the quality of everything is second to none.

Is great looking 5th wheel, I love that it has 2 sofas beds. I didn't see a pantry. Love the exterior color, the red, white, and blue . But it would have taken it over the top if the exterior colors would had been paint on the side of the slide outs.

I have a solitude and love it and would for sure buy another. The issue with buying this unit is all the extras are going to put it in a price range that may be so high that it may be more economical to buy a used luxury unit with 3 inch thick walls.
What a great design!! I didn't see anything I didn't like. The only one thing I wish they would do is add the generator for that price. Other than that, what an amazing floor plan.

I live in a fith wheeler full time and shopped around for a van that would give everything my caravan didnt.This is a lovely van but a van of this size should have decent walk space beside the bed,enough bench space beside the stove to sit a frypan or large plate and only personal preference but I'd like to see a centre arm rest with seating facing the tv. All though a lovely van

I have a 1995 Fleetwood Flair that has one of those narrow space next to the range and its for baking sheets. I love this design and SOON! we are going to be trading up but for now our oldie but goodie is still working and running in top form for its age We live 6 months a year in it in drive across country 2 times a year from east to west coast. But I LOVE! the red white and blue color

Hope y'all are having a nice Memorial Day. Myle's I love ur videos. They are very informative and you are the only one who checks the decking under the dinette slide. Im wondering why Grand Design doesn't wrap the board. You would think with the amount of money these rigs cost they would go the extra mile and wrap it versus painting it. I am a very detailed person and that might sway me from buying a grand design. Im also not a big fan of the silicone that is used on the outside of rvs to seal around doors and slides. I watched the factory tour that big truck big rv did on the Brinkley. So far I think they are the only manufacturer that doesn't use silicone anywhere on the outside of their rvs. Brinkley seals from the inside out. I also learned that Brinkley does a pressurized test on the entire rig to check for leaks around all doors on the exterior, windows. keep up the videos you guys do a great job:)
I think the Brinkley is the best new thing in campers.

There should be hand bars in the shower for safety. Love the skinny cabinet by stove for cutting boards or cookie sheets.

The tiny storage in the kitchen could be used for cutting boards, including the one over the sink.
Come you do a video about the best constructed rv as to strength. We're considering full time living on a lot with a concrete slab. How could a rv be tied down with straps or cables. Should the slab be constructed with anchors to be used to attach to the rv? Where on the rv would be the best anchor points to attach to? Even if the rv is anchored, should straps be used over the top to secure the living space? What speed winds can the rv's cabins withstand without being strapped down? As you can see, all of my questions are storm related for the safety of my family living full time in an rv.
Drawers in the lower pantry are definitely better! Why would you want to get on your knees to find something in the back of the bottom shelf? Was that door in the kitchen a half bath?

Myles, you should see if your local GMC, CHEVY or FORD dealer will ket you borrow some trucks of varying capacity and feature them in your videos.......
If you’re going to live full time in it, the layout and features are great. But I think the cargo carrying capacity is very low considering how much storage it has both inside and outside. 43’ length will limit where you can camp. I don’t like the half bath opening in the kitchen/eating area. Just my thoughts.

One more thing, I have seen you show RV’s with drawers in the stairs I believe. I know I have seen them that way. Your wife’s idea of the stairs that lift would be great for hidden storage because you cannot tell that they lift.
Hi Myles love your videos you both bring to us good things about the rvs. I am interested in a fifth wheel with this layout 2023 with the living room in this setting but a two full bedroom or three bedroom would you recommend something, I wanna save and downsize this would help me save to behold my own place . Kindly recommend any fith wheel you think would be good thanks Sam
It’s pretty much impossible to build an RV like this with a front living room and 2-3 bedrooms. They just don’t build RVs long enough to fit in that many rooms in an RV unless you have something custom built to be longer than what’s standard.
I have found that most RV's in that price range come standard with a lot nicer/ elaborate microwave. I don't believe they showed us the half bath either.

We are Grand Design owners. I don't like the exterior color scheme on this fifth wheel. Our friends had a lot of slide issues with their Solitude. They also had a leaking grey tank that wasn't installed properly.

I absolutely love it!! But the Space in the bathroom where you get into the shower is to narrow
Unless both glass doors slide to the opposite end.
I think it’s the same size as most of them but they didn’t open it the correct way. Only skinny people can get away with that.

The camera lens is very weird, I’m assuming you were trying to make it seem larger in the in there?
I filmed hundreds of RVs and always use the same 0.5 lenses on iPhone that allows you to see more of the interior space in the frame.

I didnt know that Grand Design has around that long.
The biggest problem I have with that model is the very small cargo capacity. You have that massive storage and only 1788 lbs over cargo capacity. I have a 2015 passport 2400bh and it has a capacity of 2070lbs. If I'm moving up to a larger trailer, I want to be able to carry more.
I understand what you’re saying. Unfortunately, that’s a common thing you will find in tandem axel fifth wheels over 40ft. Even with 8k axels, which is typically an upgrade from the standard 7k axels, the dry weight of the camper is much closer to the max capacity of the axels than it will be on smaller campers that aren’t pushing weight limits so much. The only 40ft+ campers that won’t experience this that I’ve seen are the triple axel toy haulers because of that third axel.
