West Babylon NY | Auto into Building 550 Montauk Highway | 5/13/24

At approximately 18:40 hours on Monday, May 13th, 2024, the West Babylon Fire Department responded to a reported auto into the building at the AutoZone at 550 Montauk Highway off of Fleets Point Drive. Upon Chief of the Department Kamalic's arrival, he had an SUV crashed into the front of the store and requested a fire marshal and building inspector. Crews checked structural stability while EMS treated and transported upwards of four patients. Suffolk County Police ES-6 removed the SUV from the building. The Babylon and Lindenhurst Fire Departments were requested for ambulances to the scene. Units operated under the command of Chief of the West Babylon Fire Department, Steve Kamalic [1-9-30].
