The biggest challenge to the U. S. Navy is CAPITALISM. Everything is money driven and as such, nothing can be done without following the bidding procedures and then the scheduling delivery process. Shipyards do not have the workforce they once had as they now basically work "Bankers Hours" and NO OVERTIME. Therefore, it would take months for America to build up to a "War Footing" for all branches of the military. That is our Achillies heel.

This video is likely misleading.
It's probably too close for the USN to go directly at land based China forces. Land based always has a strong advantage over sea based if all other things are equal.
But land based and long range US and allied forces are probably a major mis-match unless China can either close the technology gap or produce numbers 30x what the combined adversaries have. And even so, maybe that wouldn't be enough.
