Cal was a hot bed of BMX bikes in the early 70's, the movie On Any Sunday lit it like a firestorm, we made sidekicks, full suspension bikes HEAVY, we used motorcycle parts, the goal was to make them lighter. So we did not make them from scratch we took old Schwinn's and cut them up and used square tubing to make them lighter. You could not buy a BMX bike back then. I have an old Monggose all originals down to the stickers tires tubes and Moto Mag Wheels.

We also couldn’t afford Hutch, GT, Redline, Kuihara etc… all that shit was was high rent district so we cut and fabbed what we could. I saw modified shopping carts like that was new, lol that’s where it all started for us in modding
@@blech71 I love watching videos from Africa and Asia where kids are making bikes so they can do drifting, they cannot buy or afford what they want so they make it, just like what we did a long time ago.

@@sixunderground8480 those are nice I could tell you all put a lot of time and effort into them... I may suggest though that it is way hard on your bodies to be in that position without much support... with a few modifications you could unlock more potential for control power and comfort by adding a sling to your bars wide set enough for ease of weight transfers well as core body support and allowing you to gain better purchase on the pedals to put more power to the crank when needed... I have to say that your drifts were excellently executed and just for fun some time you should add some pieces of ferro rod or mag strips in with your studs to create spark shows for extra flare... if you want to hear more on how to really expand on your awesome skills and designs to be absolutely unbeatable hit me up guys... I used to build all kind of bikes motorcycles race and show vehicles... I know everything from old school to current and even some future designs... it's what I do... you know how to find me keep it up love your stuff...

If you want to build a drift car you'll have to spend something like 10k to 40k if you want it to be good not to mention the countless hours of work you'll need to put in building it or the cost of labour if you want it to get done for you.
