You're right! But he does seem more sure of himself now, which is only a good thing. Before, even during non-talk show interviews/discussions (like that one with Kaluuya), he was always very fidgety. Probably not always due to nerves, but because of his mannerisms. He does look like the kind of guy whose mind is constantly buzzing and his words can hardly catch up.

I guess he’s more comfortable in this round table thing cus he’s surrounded by fellow actors, the questions are about the movies/his work, no random questions about other stuff, no spectators. Also you can see that he’s very passionate about it. He did research on it and he’s glad to share that with these people. On a talk show, you’re trying to be funny, the host asks about unpredictable things, there’s a crowd watching you, etc. It’s 2 different situations.

It’s clear that everyone at the table is impressed by Timothée. He’s not their to garner fame or attention but to tell a real life story as an actor. Shying away from the taboos that society never wants to discuss. He is so talented and I applaud not only his talent but his passion to tell stories and bringing awareness to prevalent and real life issues. I also adore everyone at that table as well! But Timothée is a gem just wanted to point that out!

e Kelly I Agree with you so much she’s so young is so wise and I love that he’s not there just for the money for the fame he wants to portray real like acting in his life is acting is not just for the thing you can tell he’s devoted to his act. And he’s so smart he’s an amazing actor I can’t describe just the way by his little facial movements little voice cute little body movements expressions it’s truly he’s going to be the Leonardo DiCaprio of our generation

I know they’re all there to listen to each other speak but I love the fact that in comparison to the rest of them Timothée is by far the youngest as well as the most inexperienced, but the way he speaks and presents himself is so far beyond his years, it astounds me, so I can only imagine how the rest of the group feels when they hear him so eloquently and maturely answers these questions! You can see how intently they’re listening to his every word which is a huge complement to Timothée, as they clearly don’t view him as a young actor who came into a bit of luck but instead a young actor who is deserving of the accolades and attention. I kinda feel proud of him🙂

I'm coming up on 4 years clean from methamphetamines this August, and I just watched Beautiful Boy with my mom, and I'm so grateful for the integrity with which Steve Carrell and Timothee portrayed the struggle of addiction. It's a film absolutely worth watching. So grateful for a piece of art that doesn't glorify addiction and drug use.

In the first few seconds that I watched this video, I had a feeling that Timmy is a green, youthful sprout in a deep forest. But after the full video, not only is he a breath of fresh air, but the depth he brings to this roundtable is well beyond his years. The way he presents his ideas and engage others is compelling. I am only 3 years older than him but I feel like Timmy could be my teacher or even mentor. He’s just 23 and he already has 2 Oscar nominations (I bet his second nom is coming this year for Beautiful Boy). Here I dare say he would be the male version of the next Meryl Streep and I look forward to watching his long career unfold and glow til only God knows when it ends. Keep working, Timmy! ^_^// your fan from Hong Kong

My gosh, Timmy is a thousand times more eloquent than I can ever hope to be (and in such intimidating company and setting, where esteemed actors are all sitting around you listening to your every word in silence). I'd be completely stressed to the point where I'd be incoherent. But Timmy spoke his mind beautifully without being self-important in any way, and you can tell how attached he is to the subject and the story. He's not there to impress anyone, but to shed more light on the problem. I love that he serves his craft, never his ego.
