Cutting an Ash Log into Bench Pieces

  • I am back on the mill with this 13" log, cutting some thicker pieces that would be great for a few benches. I'll keep you updated on the drying process and the finished product in a later video.

      Thanks for watching and the words of encouragement. It is a nice mill for the price.
      I have another piece of the Cherry tree, and just cut an oak down, so definitely have a few more videos coming this year.

      Is that blade dull??

      @user-hz3iu9bb5r I have taken two blades into the metal log supports, but other than those being replaced right away, these are factory sharpened blades. I have had the throttle cable work itself loose a couple times, so maybe not running at full power.

      This is the 10HP Briggs & Stratton engine. It was worth the upgrade to me for cutting some more dense woods.
