Fresh lilacs, herbs in the garden, and a lovely cocktail .... these are some of my favorite spring things. What do you love about spring? Here's another fun video featuring lilacs ua-cam.com/video/j2uKXh_Vo0A/v-deo.html
Vodka and lilacs!!!???? Who knew??? I also love getting boxes in the mail!!! I order a lot online...don't get out much anymore...another reason I love the "sisters"...TYFS ❤❤❤😊😊😊
I wish we had lilacs down here in Alabama. I do remember having a lilac bush on our someplace in Georgia but I am not sure if it died or was taken down for some construction. Loved seeing the unboxing!
Thank you so much. I have been trying to research where lilacs grow best. It seems they do best where they get a freeze for dormancy. I could definitely imagine parts of Georgia fitting the bill for that. It was such a staple growing up…hedges of these splendid beauties. They are my absolute favorite 💜
I will be looking forward to that gorgeous lilac cocktail when I am at your house in a couple of weeks!!! I love all the candles and I have the signature scent candle, which has a wonderful scent!!!
That is great advice. I considered planting the mint in a container , but didn’t have one handy and was anxious to get it moving. I will transplant it to a container before the summer ends .
I so wish we had the variety of lilacs like up north! Here in Texas, we have a lilac variety but it’s not edible. My neighbor has a beautiful tree that we are enjoying now in full bloom. I have made lavender lemonade and it is very good. I admired your zinnias last year and planted seeds this year. We’ve had an issue with gnats this year and sprayed the window where they were gathering and my zinnia seedlings below the window died. I bought more seeds so I’ve not given up! You are so right about the benefits of gardening. When I moved back to TX, I was living in an apartment while searching for a home and had a container garden on the patio. That garden kept me from losing my mind with the stress of apartment living! 🪴
Thank you for your lovely comments. I’ve planted zinnias this year as well, but they are not off to as good of a start. It’s been hotter and drier this year. Gardening has shown so many health benefits…even if it’s just tending one herb. XOXO
The ending shot of the lilacs against the blue sky is just beautiful 💜. I'll have to try that lilac infused cocktail recipe next year - lemonade and lilacs sound like a great combination. Patty, your memory of sheets hanging on the clothesline is so nostalgic and it's a tradition I still do today using my mother's old wooden clothespins. Ohhh, a cranberry scented candle ❤🕯 Thank you!
Thank you, Marybeth! If I close my eyes when I'm outside on a beautiful breezy day near my lilac bush - I am instantly transported to my parents house and I'm suddenly 8 years old again helping my mom hang out the sheets on the line!
First time hearing about Lilac water or lemonade. What a wonderful idea. Your garden looks lovely. Brandy wine was my mother’s favorite tomato. It does not have that tough skin that so many tomatoes have today and just a wonderful flavor. Glad to see someone else appreciate them. And as far as mint is concerned, what a lovely invasive, if only all invasives were that lovely and useful! Enjoyed the video as always. Waving to you girls from west Texas!
We are waving right back to you!! Your mother and I are kindred spirits with brandy wine tomatoes. I’m so worried as I have not been able to find them this year. I’m heartbroken. You are so right…thinner skin and superior flavor. I adore them 🍅
Hi its good to see you. My father had a large lilac in the front garden and I smell was heavenly. Nice to see what your growing. I will try to do the cocktail. Thanks for sharing your package. Catch you next time .? Love as always

Next year I would order seed over the winter and start them inside. I don’t know why they are so hard to find. That is what we had to finally do.

Thanks, Andrea! I agree - the scent of a lilac is heavenly! Take care!
