I love small town America. In fact, I love small town anywhere. People are usually so friendly and interesting. Also, they are usually interested in strangers and what brings them that a' way. Thank you so much for taking us with you. xx

Ah my dear Gypsy friend, you are traipsing along my heart ahhh, I used to live in this delightful area and I luv New Mexico, You did a nice job filming and talking about the town! Good Work and thanks for sharing.
I want to live there that's all I have wanted all my life a rock log three bedroom home with five acres and a small town down the road wish me could find a nice place like that❣️😍
If you want spooky, go to Artesia NM, along the river outside of town. You'll need a fairly rugged vehicle. There are holes that go deep underground, actually deep caves, next to hills, where you can hear chirping sounds, that must be millions of bats. The holes are dark and deep. I found a huge hidden cave next to a strange slanted rock formation, near a pump jack, but I wasn't brave enough to jump down into it by myself. You can also find some low quality Pecos diamonds along the river. There's also a little town called Oro Grande where you can find turquoise, white quartz, clear quartz with specks of gold in them, just outside of town, going north a little ways. There are huge bolders of iron pyrite around that look kewl the way all the colors sparkle. A lot of old abandoned gold mines are around there. It's next to a military reservation and helicopter gunships fly over with machine guns and that's rather scary. Little stores sell lots of different types of brightly colored rocks and minerals. There was a good little restaurant in town.
SUGGESTION: Would like to see sight of New Mexico Bone Collector... sounds gruesome... but have wondered where outside Albuquergue this all took place. I used to live ALBQ.

It was so sad. It hurts growing up there because when you live there. Well, you see how it is for real. So sad.

Omnipotent Dwarf ...haha....I grew up in Artesia! Glad you enjoyed your visit!
Check out Giggling Springs right across the street. Highly recommend 10/10. Had to go twice.
We have the same saying in NH.
