I used to think Ryoshima Coast was my best song, but then I made this.
Summer may be over for me, but I'm still hard at work. Pssshh. Who needs to do homework anyway? UA-cam is where it's at. (loljk) But, this is a combo song, of Watch the Skies and One They Fear; both occur when fighting dragons. Hence the name I shlapped on there, made it myself. :') But honestly, nothing was more epic than hearing a dragon roar and the distance, and the drums just started to beat. You knew it was going down. But the real battle hadn't even started yet.
So. Tell me what you think. I used a lot of different styles here, the first song was even in 7/8 (not too hard). I hope you guys like it! Drop a comment, thumbs up, even video response if you feel so inclined. Tell yo friends, show your mom. You know the drill.

Jake, I have watched every video you've done start to finish. Your mixing, your arranging, lead guitar and bass playing, and video editing, have pretty much led up to this. I'd have to agree when you say this is your best. You created so much out of the "blueprint" of a song those were. Such a great cover, I really hope you take some time to really reflect about this one, share it as much as possible. The detail is remarkable at 2:40 and nothing competes to this.

I really think I did all I could with it. There wasn't too much beyond what I already did for Watch the Skies, at least, that's all *I* could come up with. I DO plan on doing more Skyrim in the future, though. :)

This deserves more recognition.
This song can sometimes get repetitive with people playing the same phrases over and over, and at first the video was kinda getting into that territory. But like everyone else has said, when you changed things up with the acoustic section the song just became magical. Fantastic way to play around with the song.

Plus your ear for transposing music. Learning it in a manageable amount of time. Arranging and recording skill, mixing, mastering, especially arranging. Filming and all types of angles and shots. Editing. Then, while having to go to high school, being able to put it all into one cohesive product that is suitable for ones' standards.

Although, I do agree with an earlier commenter, you could add more flair with bends, vibrato, and maybe some pinch harmonics. It's always good to strive to better your playing. :)

Awesome cover, you're very talented and you should totally keep up with your career in music. I'd like to see some Metal Gear covers though, I guess you haven't done any up to now. Theme of Tara, Love Theme and Old Snake are some good ideas for you, your creativity should work on them hahahaha

If I could just tune in some advice please I'd like to try to motivate your lead playing more toward emotionally driven sound. That shit needs to hit hard with style. Its stiff is all; throw some slides/bends/vibrato/harmonics in there and you've got it.

Don't know if I love this one as much as your Ryoshima Coast cover. It's a great arrangement, but to me this one didn't have enough weight, if that makes any sense.
