Purchased: August 2022 - still works GREAT! ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn I live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!
A good point would’ve been to test with a thermometer the temperature in the car before turning that on and after that’s what you do when you’re testing things for people, most are too skeptical to take someone’s word for it!
This guy is in the desert so it isnt that bad, try with no power windows in the southeast when its 100+ degrees and very humid. My last car was a sedan and 3 of the power windows broke, I just ended up forcing 2 of them down, I put little suction cups on the window to prevent them from going down further. Also for those with no AC and if you work second shift, you can always freeze a few bottles of water and just keep them in your car on your way to work. It works very well keeping the interior cool. I actually used 4 bottles of ice water and kept 2 of them in the cup holders in the center console and the other 2 I put on my left side between the door and seats. It worked out really good and if it was super HOT I set one on my lap. Just make sure you wrap it in a paper towel because the moisture will make your pants wet.
Humidity isn't shit compaired to Vegas or Phoenix dry heat. Lived multiple decades in both(southeast/southwest). Swamp cooling actually works in the SW. Zero benefits for the south eastern folk. The amount of death in the SW vs SE from heat exhaustion isn't even compairable.
@@jpschargedyea right 😂 try coming to New Orleans and try out the humidity here… the worst it gets in the country. Google it and you’ll see here in New Orleans we have the highest humidity percentage it gets and takes about 6 secs outside and you will be soaked and can’t breathe, then you still have to deal with the 100 plus temperature
@@jpscharged lived in both and I'd rather deal with dry heat than humidity any day but for myself, that isn't why I'd look at something like this. It's purely for cooling my device for driving as I rely on it working. This seems to be useful for that.
Definitly going to need to buy this! Thanks so much! My AC doesn’t work and it would be $1,400 to fix an old 1996 car! Hell to the no! I rather spend $250 or so on this and bags of ice then spend that much money i don’t have.
For those of us fair skin and albino skin niggas that limit sun exposure as much as possible to the point of taking night jobs and doing everything else in the evening this is not an option. Yeah you could say "just wear a damn hat and cover yourself from head to toe" but then at that point when we're not exactly gonna cool off at that point anyway, especially if it is hot as fuck where you live.
Rather than pay $100-$300 for one of these, you can build one for $12 with a styrofoam cooler, usb fan, ice, curved pvc pipe and a knife and tape. Works just as good.
Don't even need USB. They make good sized fans that run strictly on batteries now. I have one. It is about the size of a regular counter top fan. It could all be gerryrigged to work. Wondering how just a small open cooler packed with ice would work with the inside air going for circulation. Will have to experiment. Because my a/c (2000 Taurus) leak is up in my dashboard and the repair is $1,200. Even with Red Angel air conditioner sealant it's not holding it. Just had the a/c replaced, too. Waste of money.
How long does it last before you have to fill it back with ice? Also it will work better with the windows closed. If they were open hot air would get into the car..
Hey guys, listen up. This neat cooler is for "temporary use only if your windows won't roll down for whatever reason". It doesn't replace regular A.C. but is much better than recirculating overheated 130 degree stale air.
What a great idea! "Lookie there, Clyde! What's that there guy doin' with his shower curtain hangin' all over 'is car?" "Hell, Cletus, that's my daughter's new beau! They's gettin' married here shortly, an' I'm so tickled that she found a nice 'un that has a car that runs. Don't you worry none about that shower curtain. It prolly helps keep his ol' tick hound from slobberin' on him from the back seat!"
I’m sure you have checked your fuses, inside and under hood. Also have your. Pulled the door covers off to see if you can fix your windows? In the passed, I’ve did both. Good luck
Get a cooler put a small 12 volt pump in it run the hoses to the ac evaporator that's all ready in your dash fill the cooler with ice water and bam cold air will come out of your vents if the stock system in the car is done and you can't fix ac yourself I did this to a 90s ford ranger that someone took the compressor off of and cut the lines and it wasn't worth fixing right.. tinted the windows and I had 47 degree air out the vents it lasted about 2 hours on a hot day before all the ice melted and the water started getting warm.. worked good for a long time I got free ice from work..
A AC mechanic just refunded me $635 for AC job. Electrical issue. He estimates it’s a $2000 job. Even if you pay $250 and ice cost. If you got a serious AC issue like me. This could be a great temporary fix. When you riding with no AC and it’s late Spring early Summer
A few years back I made that almost exact set-up and it works off the principal of evaporative cooler and it was horrible experience. You had to keep filling ice and if ya did that you best bring along a 42 quart ice chest. Not to mention if it was 100 or hotter the ice keep melting every 30 mins you had to fill that damn thing up again. Fuck that I just make sure the a/c in the car was serviced before the summer mouths. So $265 is enough to get all the parts to fix your a/c but this cooler thing is a scam it would be a good buy if it was under a $100 but it a fucking rip off. So don't buy it unless your rich but even the rich people wouldn't waste there time with that shit lol!!
This won't work. Live in FL and had the same problem and tried similar gadgets. Although it may blow a slighter bit cooler than air temperature. In no way would it cool down the car or provide any appreciable cooling effect.
Ummmmmm... Here's an common-sense idea: TURN THE COOLER AROUND!!! If you leave it the way it is, and point the COLD EXHAUST towards you, you allow the INTAKE VENT to STEAL a LARGE portion of the cold air that you want to come out of it... Isn't that the reason you bought the unit, in the first place?
I know I'm five years late to this comment but idk how nobody has pointed out yet that it's common to deliberately recirculate some or all air with a swamp cooler so that it gets colder lol it's not dumb
Old idea but efficient Great temporary solution ,my compressor is broken but the fan is working great ican utilize it by using any box and fill it with ice and find a way to connect the fan to box I dont think this will cost that much
I think I saw the cooler for sale at Walmart the other day priced around twenty bucks. Add a small 12 volt fan and you can make your own for less than fifty bucks. Why in the world anyone would pay $250 for this is beyond my ability to comprehend. Enjoy.
if you really want to get adventurios, by a short piece of flex hose for .10 cents and run it to your cooler, from your heater fan, rocket science????????
Never heard that expression... But ya I didn't even use my AC unless in certain conditions and now it broke. Let me tell you living out of your vehicle with no ac sucks
how long does the ice stay b4 it melts an isn't cool anymore? I see spending alot of money on ice everyday . couple times a day. Idk how's that work out?
that's a $20 cooler, a $5 aluminum 5 inch 90° shank flanged chimney fitting, approx $6 in wire, $1.25 cigarette lighter insert, a $20 water pump, and $5 in switches. that's a ripoff above all others.

If your a/c doesn't work AND the windows don't roll down it's NOT a nice car.
Angry Mustang.....

What about the humidity
😂😂😂
Michael Lee race cars...
why didn't anyone say anything about how well it works?
This video. Omg I love it. I saw it years ago and I just looked it up again to send to my friend who's ac in his house isnt working... omg 👌👏 hustler

Lol you been ripped off change your mechanic
ll_sch1Zophr3ni4_II My AC randomly kicked on and has been working like 6 months ago.. don’t know what was wrong but it works now lol.
Yeah you got ripped off
I was quoted $900 to repair my air-conditioning in my car so $250 is looking pretty cheap
or you buy the hanes manual and get off your lazy arse and get busy $20...
yep mine is 850 to fix...no thank you sir!
And 20$ to do it on your own
$1600 repair bill here. I'm gonna look into making my own with frozen water bottles so I can drink them through the work day too
Ok, no AC and windows don't roll down, dude I hate to break it to you but that car is a convertible, see that rag top, it comes down. LOL
No it doesn't, that's probably broken too.
I was taught not to assume. You'll make a ass put of yourself

Yeah, you can go through 98° outside temperature with your rag top down and boil like a sweating fish if you want to in the sun …
Welcome to car ownership
for what you paid for that heatcooler and the ice your going to buy you could have had your a/c fixed or built one for allot less.
Ok, mine is out! How much will you charge? Needs 2 lines, and a compressor,2 lb of freon! If I do it myself $500
So no lol it cost about 600 and that’s low
Rather than pay $100-$300 for one of these, you can build one for $12 with a styrofoam cooler, usb fan, ice, curved pvc pipe and a knife and tape.
Works just as good.
Pinstripe Entertainment you got a vid on how to do it
Bs... It'd cost about 50$ in parts
The styro foam ones don't work I made one..

If you were to put something cold behind a fan would it blow cool air?! I was just think about this.
Hey guys, listen up. This neat cooler is for "temporary use only if your windows won't roll down for whatever reason". It doesn't replace regular A.C. but is much better than recirculating overheated 130 degree stale air.
You can rig a plastic see through shower curtain to block the rear seat area out and enhance what you get up front.
What a great idea! "Lookie there, Clyde! What's that there guy doin' with his shower curtain hangin' all over 'is car?" "Hell, Cletus, that's my daughter's new beau! LOL . Make sure you put the seatbelt on the A/C
How long does it last to keep Cool in a car ? I am thinking about camping in a SUV
Wonder if this will work at UPS in the trailers and drivers trucks
Get a cooler put a small 12 volt pump in it run the hoses to the ac evaporator that's all ready in your dash fill the cooler with ice water and bam cold air will come out of your vents if the stock system in the car is done and you can't fix ac yourself I did this to a 90s ford ranger that someone took the compressor off of and cut the lines and it wasn't worth fixing right.. tinted the windows and I had 47 degree air out the vents it lasted about 2 hours on a hot day before all the ice melted and the water started getting warm.. worked good for a long time I got free ice from work..
I see your method working but how can I run hoses to ac evaporator, when they in the dash, unless you take it from the firewall

where can i get that cooler with that lid? I think it will it make your car humid?
What about condensation and noise?
Can do this with a Styrofoam cooler. Cut 2 holes. Buy a 20-30$ fan that plugs into your cig lighter
That doesn't work,I tried it!
A few years back I made that almost exact set-up and it works off the principal of evaporative cooler and it was horrible experience. This is awesome!
Until you have to slam on the breaks and the whole cooler tips over spilling water over the fans.
seat belt straps...
You don't drive around with a stick like this
Buying and adapting that a/c system is better than any alternative bullshit solution.
Let The Mustang Go Bro.

passenger seat or a big ass heavy box that i have to fill with ice and carry it everytime i have to use the car
Is the ice included? Does this heat cooler only work with your ice? Like if I try to charge my Samsung phone with an iPhone's charger?
Why would you put the intake by the exhaust..?
That money could have fixed windows. Atleast one

better put seatbelt on for that cooler... dont wanna spill during sudden braking.
nice lol

THEY SHOULD PROBABLY HAVE A STRAP FOR IT.
Y'all won't be happy til dude shuts down the comment section.😂😂😂
Haha bae why they tripping? And bae you so funny. 😂
thats a nice Mustang :)
Does it burn up your car battery
But where did he get it?
Yeah I bet girls dig this padre
Notorious Finn “Sorry babe you gotta sit in the back”
“Wtf why”
“The a/c got shotgun”
Pretty cool. Pun intended.
Bang on the inside of the door by the window motor and it will work
Really, that was 5 minutes longer than it needed to be.
I wonder what this guy is going to do when the 12V socket stops working? Buy a battery to power the cooler? LOL
I would actually use a solar generator to run something like this so I could travel with my cat in hot weather. But not for this amount of money!
They make power stations now all ran on solar and lithium batteries .
wow, is 2017 do they still exist
I would use this to not idle my car at work I'm stuck outside for work
I still roll the 2/40 air conditioning in my car.
2 windows down 40 miles per hour.
Never heard that expression... But ya I didn't even use my AC unless in certain conditions and now it broke. Let me tell you living out of your vehicle with no ac sucks
I built one for 40$, it can be much cheaper if u get some parts from garage sales an ebay fans that connect to car
When I was a kid we just packed the back seats wtih bags of ice and no fan!
whats the name of that cooler.
What about humidity
What happened to your website? Good idea what happened?
how long does the ice stay b4 it melts an isn't cool anymore? I see spending alot of money on ice everyday . couple times a day. Idk how's that work out?
+wonnieboy make your own ice duh
+steve b that's what I'm saying this things is useless
+wonnieboy exactly, it's more practice to just repair the damn thing.
wonnieboy you could always make your own ice.. just a thought.. 2 minutes to fill ice trays.. unless you have ice maker
With all the negative comments here Im surprised this man hasn’t deleted this video lol
Trapped in a small, enclosed space with a swamp cooler. How is it not just condensing everywhere in there? 😂

+maybe $5-6 in water lines from home depot
Awkward situation when he wants to bring a girl along for a ride. Will she sit in back of forgo his cool breeze hitting his face?
My advice is to never turn that thing on if the car is not running. You could ruin the alternator and that will cost you a few hundred dollars.
Thank you!
Too noisy...the features are cool, but it sounds like the jets at the airport before they take off
the website doesn’t work
In India, we will get what and what will be the rate in India
Well you go to a garage an get the windows fixed
nice one, well done!
Well my air condition repair comes to 5,000 because the 11.00 dollar blend door which I have, and that us what the dealer charges to fix.
That’s a lot of ice
Windows don't roll down ugh fix them or bust them out😅
I already feel cold when I watch it
I'm living in my s.u.v from now on its freedom from financual trouble. using a little buddy heater hooked to a propane tank right now it's winter. thinking about summer coming.
you wont be able to sleep with that humidity
Nice
ummm....you could just save a little bit and fix the a/c. A cooler with a fan is ghetto as hell...just FYI
lmao, I make them and sell them for 65 to 80, I think $265.00 is a ripoff, your looking at 40 bucks in parts.
+Nick Savage email me.. I will buy from you slbellamy@gmail.com

Oh my god too freaking loud dude!!!!! It would drive me to bananas😂😂😂
Yes, my thoughts. Would I rather be hot or deaf?
