Ride quality among the best; safety tech among the best; reliability among the best; interior space among the best; AWD among the best....I can live with 182 hp and 176 lb-ft of torque. Thanks for the review; you covered everything. Subaru is at the top of my list. (edit) I forgot to mention price.
You forgot one of the best outdated in design!…😂😂😂

I have a touring xt.. Definitely get the turbo. Drives so much nicer overall.
Agreed
I have a Premium 2.5 n/a. It's fine... I got it with the Moonroof package for $6000 less than this trim. One thing that is important to point out about the turbo is that you don't need to use premium gas, which is nice compared to many other turbo cars that require 91 or higher.
Plenty of us older crowd wish the phone answer and disconnect were not right next to each other. Thumbs up review. Peace bro.
Thanks Michael
Color is nice, interior too only I wish it comes with manual gearbox. Great review as always. Greetings
I had a 2017 outback limited 3.6r. Loved it. Since the 3.6 is no longer available, I traded it in for the XT which has the 2.4 turbo. Love it. In 2013, I had bought my first subaru, a crosstrek. I liked it, but the 2.0 was much too weak for my liking. The 2.5 in an outback would be a similar power to weight ratio, no thanks. For reference when I was young I drove a 69 firebird with a 400. So that's where I came from. Many don't mind the 2.5 at all.
Th fake vent cladding normally is zonked, by I love the way it looks and it’s functional as it protects the car.
Great review Kenny! I've not really looked at a Subaru before and this looks like a great car. I'm curious..do you know how much extra the XT would be? I'm like you and for sure would want the extra power. Hope that you are doing great!
About $4,000 to get into the Onyx Edition XT. A little under $5,000 to get into the Limited XT
It looks like a fun and practical vehicle.
Loved the "Cow" reference . . .
Hahah
I’ve driven both the 2.5 and the 2.4T and we own the 2.4T. The only reason I might’ve chosen the non-turbo is the linear throttle response. In the turbo model, the gas pedal feels disconnected from the engine,,which feels disconnected from the transmission. Don’t get me wrong, I chose the XT for many reasons, but this is its downfall, imo.
I can kinda see what you're talking about
You did not cover the settings for driver 1 and driver 2 which are on the door panel.
Great review! I highly recommend checking out CX-50 as I feel like CX-50 is a much nicer vehicle with the similar goals in mind!
I did a video with a CX50 yesterday. Mazda's are great. I should do a head to head between the 2 of them..
Ever go to a meeting or lecture and ask to hold questions until the end. The reason. They will probably be answered at some point before the end. I never really have a question after you have finished the review.
Im glad!
Turbo! Turbo!! Turbo!!!
Yes Yes Yes!
I love my XT but the turbo lag is horrendous. If you find yourself needing to quickly merge at slow speeds, it’s downright frightening waiting for the turbo to boost, all the while the merging traffic is getting closer and closer.
I was looking for torque curves for the 2.5 vs 2.4 turbo but can't find them. The 2.5l has a 12.0:1 compression ratio all of the time. The 2.4 is 10.6:1 . So at lower rpms, the 2.5 probably has more torque, and as the boost builds at some point the 2.4 will probably exceed 13:1.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Poodle point!
Ah no. The turbo lag is horrible, and peaky in bumper to bumper city traffic
👍👍👍👍
The only subarus I'm considering now are the base models without that stupid tablet screen, one of the dumbest things they could have ever done.
It''d be nice to have physical climate controls
I don't mind it at all, just takes a week to get used to.
Nah, I buy this 2024 Subaru Outback Limited.
I think you need the XT!
