Steam description:
Nuclear Option is a combat flight game set on a dynamic and realistic battlefield of the near future. Use an array of advanced weapons to change the course of battles as you intercept bombers, duel fighters, fly under the radar, or unleash the fury of nuclear weapons on enemy formations.
Each aircraft comes with an immersive cockpit featuring a situational awareness HUD, identifying nearby targets and threats. Aircraft can be flown with various controllers or with a mouse-controlled "virtual joystick", requiring no special hardware.
Experience realistic flight dynamics, with stalls, spins and g-force effects fully implemented, as each aircraft is composed of up to 50 individually simulated physics parts . A highly detailed damage model means that the condition of each part affects the way your aircraft flies.
Build your own missions using the included mission editor, and then fly your mission with friends in PVP or PVE multiplayer combat.
The destruction and physics on those aircraft crashes are among the best I’ve seen in any game. Good stuff.

The way the peices of aircraft hang half detatched if they aren't completely torn off immediately is amazing

2042 designs are literally just modernized vehicles that already exist (other than the railgun tank). I literally don't understand what you are referring to.
The destruction and physics model on this is insane. All it needs is visible bullet holes.
Im suprised this game isn’t more popular, its basically just warthunder but with futuristic vehicles and a full-scale war

It's still in very very early stage of development
But HELL lot of more fun than war thunder (it's more arcade too)
Its pretty amazing that it just recently hit a new all time peak of 214 players, and its only in playtesting right now

Il sturmovik still has the best damage model in combat, but collisions with buildings and the ground look much better in Nuclear Option
The new WT model, with the bullets leaving actual individual bullet holes and burns in the aircraft is pretty good looking also
@@agravemisunderstanding9668 Still it isn't a match for both of those games. and DCS as well since it's pretty crash sensitive
@@agravemisunderstanding9668 wt damage models still arent great, dynamic bullet impacts are a start, but struts and wings dont bend like they would in IL-2(or in real life)
@@BlackPhantom_II DCS has pretty awful visual damage model and collisions from what I remember, just 15 year old code things.
@@Tacticaviator7 the damage goes by chunks of the aircraft, so if you got hit in an area, that area looks damaged with holes, not as advanced as war thunder or IL-2 but it is still very good looking textures
The aircraft destruction reminds me of Janes WWII fighters for pc. A game from 1998. I haven't seen aircraft destruction (with physics) since then and I can't believe it took this long to see something comparable.
I still remember when someone used a nuke and i was still within the blast radius the whole cockpit was destroyed by the shockwave the glass shattered and i coud barely escape by ejecting this was so cool i cant remember any other game which has such realism.
You need to do more of these, they are so good

That plane in thumbnail got me so confused, like, for a moment i thought that this was OV-10 Bronco, but then part of my brain was "is it, thought?"
I went to wikipodia and sure as hell this is not Bronco, but looks similar enough.

I deleted my last game cus I felt like a dick. I would actually like to see some more of this games destruction. Because frankly, the game looks a lot better than Besieged. My only killer is the futurism. Basically stuff that looks too advanced for modern military. I wouldnt be surprised if we saw this tech in 2035 or 2040. I like Besieged videos because the designs people come up with are either real vehicles or concepts of said real life vehicles.

this physics is much better than DCS world and last IL2 sturmovik and also War Thunder it's very impressive
War thunder has pretty bad physics, i would say Il-2 and DCS have really good damage models.
@STRYKER1467 in DCS few models have good physics others break off only wings when they are hitted by missiles , in il 2 sturmovik planes seem made up rubber however there are good effects during dogfights , when they are crashing into terrain is really bad effects 👎
And it isn't even in 0.5 yet 😊

You'd think a game called 'nuclear option' would put more effort into nukes looking like more than a wet fart. World in conflict came out in 2007 and still has the best looking nukes in a game and it just makes me sad. Hopefully Broken Arrow's nukes actually look imposing.
Pfffft you realise the nukes in the game are only a yield of 20t not even a mega ton so that’s why it looks like a wet fart
@@CASA-dy4vs No they look like a wet fart because the effects look like something out of a PS1. Go play World in Conflict, it also uses tactical nukes, and it came out 16 years ago and looks WAY better than this. I mean granted it's an in-development indie game so I assume it will get better in time, but in it's current form, no, it looks terrible, lol.
