Wonderful video and watches with outstanding information! I just wish there were more closeup shots so we could see the dials and movements in all their beauty.
The good thing about these vintage officer's watches is that the style of the welded lugs give the historically smaller case sizes a much larger presence. If someone were hesitant to purchase a vintage Patek Phillipe because of that, these would be the watches to go after. They're also good because you get the precious metal and the rear sapphire to see the movement.
Terrific! Thanks for focussing on Officer watches, which seem so often to be overlooked among Patek's watches and ignored by collectors. I was lucky to acquire a 5054G this year, which I had Patek Service restore to excellent condition; it's now my favorite watch. Thanks again, John.
The 5015j is nice, but I prefer the 5054j which is why I own one. I love the history of officer cases and they are among my favorite watches Patek makes.

I love to hear the surprisingly little known FYI tips you share. They add more color to the cutural aspect we love in our favorite brand.
Thanks John as usual for sharing your knowledge...
Another excellent video. I have the 5227J and the 5053J. Both beautiful watches with different dials but also hinged casebacks, a great added feature.

Outstanding video.I have to go with the MAMACOO, especially with that green dial as my favorite
As usual, John is a wealth of information when it comes to our favourite brand.
Amazing horological treasures! Some more closeup shots would add even more enjoyment of these extraordinary pieces.

What does the future look like for a second printing of your book "Patek Philippe in America"?
Great question! Maybe I should do something for the book's 20th anniversary in 2028...
I would absolutely love the opportunity to add that beautiful and important book to my horological library!!!

That 5160 is bonkers. Patek just came out with an updated version of that this year that's very nice. This one looks better with the Roman numerals
would you please add prices to your discussion...thanks...David
