After 2 years of medical problems that stopped me at week four I an finally able to start working on week 5, I am so excited to get back to it. Areas that I had thought looked bad from weeks 1 to 4 now look wonderful. #Angela you are the best teacher and keep me coming back to all your videos when I need inspiration or reminders of how to quilt a specific pattern.

Oh Angela, your quilting on the Tula Pink Nutty, was just spectacular.
I watched it today and the play of tiny swirls and feather encrusted nuts is a joy to behold.
You are one very very talented woman.

I cant have help noticing that you treat the material like a canvas to then stitch/paint over almost. I think what you do is lovely, I just wish I could do it myself.

Re: Preview Plastic. If using any preview method, first and only first use a colored masking tape on the edges so you do not accidentally draw on your fabric, Ask me how I know! Hard lesson learned. Great tool Angela love it!

On the meander feather I tried the thread painting. I did not like the haze at all when I first did it but I remembered from your other video that you said to lighten it up to sew over it with lighter thread. I did this and it really helped. I tried to “unstitch” for awhile and that was a big mistake. I should have left it and just stitched over it. It’s all good now though and I told myself it was a “learning” moment.

Thank for another inspirational video! Last year when I decided to follow your videos to learn free motion quilting I never thought I would actually to do it. At this point in my progress, I say free motion quilting is like the idea of humility, " once you think you have it you have lost it. at least for that day. But practice it the key.
I absolutely love this challenge, it has helped the feathers finally click for me, and are really so much fun. Thank you Angela.

Beautiful work, Angela. I notice you use a ruler foot on your domestic machine, even though you are doing free motion. Does this give you more control? Your work is so inspirational and I have learnt so much. Thank you all the way from Australia.

Super, as always. Thanks for explaining it all so clearly. I’ve got a handle on the theory, now just to get my hands and brain connected. Practice and more practice help me. I kick the “critic” outta the room while I stitch!!

I'm having a hard time seeing what section is cordoned off for these irregular area motifs. Do you have a full view posted somewhere?

Any tips so my feather meander doesn’t just look like my flower meander from last challenge and how big should my curl be maybe that’s my problem?

Ok. Gotta be honest… I’m still working on the meander…but I short cut the progress by SID all those fractal lines in this area you are working now. That looks pretty awesome too as it reiterates the point to point angles in the center. Hoping to use this weeks technique in the outer blue corners…after meandering/ or not!
