You made it seam so EASY. I LOVE the tip about making the half square triangles. I have never seen anyone else use this method. Such a time saver! Thanks for sharing!
I'm a novice when it comes to quilting. This popped up and I decided to watch it and I'm excited to try it. I've decided to take on the huge task of making my own pillows, curtains and sheets for my first house... although I'm a beginner and this will be included. Thank you so much.
that is exactly why i started sewing! I wanted to sew for my first house :) . Good luck! You can do it!
thnx Virginia..I did this!!! as a gift for one of my daughters!! SHE LOVES IT!!!
I love your tutorial Virginia! You inspired me to make my first Hunter's Star block pillow. I made one today in a dark purple and white. Instead of the envelope closure, I put did an invisible zipper instead. Great job in all the details! Thank you so much so sharing!
I just love the pillow. Especially doing half square triangles.
This is the best quilting video I’ve seen so far, and exactly what I was looking for! This is my first comment ever, but I wanted you to know how much I love this :)
Love to watch all your tutorials. Very easy to understand and follow. Thanks for all the projects
I love this one! Made a very nice pillow quickly!
I have also been TOTALLY intimidated by quilting, but maybe I can do this. Thanks do much for sharing! You are a sewing angel!
I saw this pattern and pillow on Pinterest and wondered if I could do it and I did and I absolutely love it. Thanks for showing me an easier way of keeping the pieces together while transporting it to the machine and keeping it together to prevent me from getting confused. I am a quilting novice. Good job.
That is so great Pat! I love a success story! I get easily confused with quilting pieces too so I am glad it has helped you :)
Lovely tutorial. Just what I was searching for. Thanks
I love this star, it always comes out so beautifull, and your steps are so simple yet smart. Thanks for sharing.
This is called "Blazing Arrows" in a quilting book I have. I am making one now, but it was put together the hard way. The HST will go much faster. Glad I found your tutorial. Thanks.
Thank you! I'm a beginner and this is a great project! Thank you for you excellent instructions.
I so appreciate your videos they're clear and they really help people like me that are inexperienced.
Please ignore the wall color and spelling police.
Love your videos. Please continue them.
Thank you for sharing your experience
Thank you for the inspiration! I made one for my daughter's choir teacher for Christmas. 😊
This is so beautiful, such a simple and elegant design. Think I'll give it a go 😍💙

Wow, I am a new subscriber because of this video and I want to say thank you for sharing your talent with us and for encouraging us to try something new. I’m a bit appalled at the negative comments and I hope you don’t find them discouraging. There will always be negative people, unfortunately. Thanks again...I can’t wait to try this.
Thank You definitely making this for church festival love your instructions

it's a really beautiful block! And really a dramatic results especially for a beginner!
I enjoyed this video very much! I never wanted to do a quilt but this pillow would be perfect!
Thank you. I am surrounded by quilters urging me to have a go but it's very intimidating. This might be the project I've been waiting for.
If you can sew a (fairly) straight line, and measure, you can quilt!! Go for it! This is a great way to start.
Same here! Put me right off but after watching this I am confident I can make this! But I prefer a zip down the bottom and am good inserting those! ❤
I love this Pillow and have wanted an easy to follow tutorial for quite a while. Thank you for the easy to follow instructions, all I now have to do is make my own .
Great tutorial. Love this pillow. Thanks so much for sharing it.
This was a really helpful tutorial! I’ve been wanting new pillow covers and could not find anything that I liked. The tutorial helped me complete 2 perfect pillow covers for my living room sofa. Thanks so much!
Thank you for your tutorial. I adjusted the square measurements to fit 18 inch cushions. My squares are 12x12 inch. I omitted the batting and used recycled jeans. Turned out beautiful.
L Hink Hmmm Wish I'd paid better attention!! I made two of them for 16" cushions. My cushions are 18"!! Dang!! Can you say "border"? Cures a multitude of problems. Nice pattern, though. That's one way to recycle blue jeans!
@@cheryl8280 I did the same thing! :( For the border, did you add a 2 1/4 inch strip for the border to give you 18 (seam allowance included 1/4")?
@@auntdee9678 Yes I did and they look pretty good if I do say so myself. Somedays I just don't know where my head is. I've been sewing for over 50 years. Maybe I'm at the stage where I'm starting to forget rather than learn! LOLOL Thanks Sylvia. Have a great rest of your evening
@@cheryl8280 Thank you!! I started sewing just a few years ago, when I turned 60! 😛and now a little into quilting (small projects). I’m going to try the border idea...I have several 18 inch pillow forms!!’
Good tutorial! Gonna make this today for a last minute Christmas present. Thnx!

I have been so scared to even try quilting, specially lining up the corners, but you make it look so easy and that is a good way to sew some parts and then cut ,...place the pattern and then sew section by section. Nice 👍🏻 I do like your easy ways to make things, wish I hade more time and a friend to sew with me, to make it not so quiet to do something.....🌹❤️🌹❤️👌
