Do CES stimulate vagus nerve also?

Yes, we wrote a blog post about this mindalive.com/blogs/blog/vagus-nerve-stimulation-with-ces

@@Mindalive saw later on that you mentioned it in the end. Was really woundering as im using a ces right now and seem to have the bennefits of VNS, but also see they use there clipper on another spot. I belive bob beck showed that studies showed back in the day that the earlobe was the best spot for electricity. So it seem to hit the vagus nerve also and not just brain.
The woman you talked about that did the work in uk and with alot of drug users, she changed the 20-40 min max time and later approved using if for hours, some even used it 24/7 like in the benzo group. So it seems like those that dosent get a good effect using it way to little. Myself im just starting to feel it after 45-60 min plus and feel i need hours for it to really work. (Doing 6 hours a day). Have you guys any experience with using it for longer treatment time?

CES really fascinates me. I started using a Fisher Wallace device for insomnia and it also really boosted my mood. But as I look into research, I'm amazed at how little there is. Because nobody owns CES, nobody really is going to get rich off it. So the research languishes.

Dave Siever discusses CES studies in comment above.

Also there is this research article: cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0014/4349/6023/files/CES_Article_-_Jan_26-2015.pdf?14874224366634816077

There are close to 200 studies on CES and roughly 50 are double-blind. New research continues, such as the default-mode network study and a few longevity studies.

The dfn study shows deactivation of regions not acc to graph.

Thank you for your comment. We aren't sure what dfn means and can you point out where in the lecture are you referring to? If you would like to send an email, you can use education@mindalive.com.

DESCRIPTION OF THE SCIENCE IS A BIT TOO OVERSIMPLIFIED. IMPEDANCE IS FREQUENCY DEPENDANT REACTANCE COMBINED WITH RESISTANCE, BUT FREQUENCY CAN BRING IN OTHER EFFECTS EG SKIN EFFECT ETC.ALSO WITH CES I BELIEVE THERE IS RESEARCH NEEDED INTO EFFECTS UPON SODIUM ION INTERACTIONS WITHIN BIOLOGICAL SYSTEMS

Thanks for your comment. Given that the capacitance and inductance in skin is negligible, and the frequencies are low (less than 1khz) impedance is also negligible. With a typical connection of 10K ohms, impedance is negligible. Impedance and sodium ion interactions have been studied quite extensively with TENS. With EEG impedance is necessary as it affects the quality of measurements. With CES, you simply increase the intensity of stimulation until you feel mild stimulation.
