The fins are bringing disc golf courses to the next level!
im living in finland its nice heres ALOT of frisbeegolf courses
Finland has some hard courses
If i ever loose a disc to that pond on hole 8, it makes it feel less bad when you know that the first disc that was thrown there was by Nate Sexton. Love the footage
Nate is just a natural at commentary. Love all the work from anyone but he is amazing.
Agree. It’s such a pleasure listening to Nate commentating without having to listen to Koling too. Nate’s one of the best.
mtp9214 Sexton does great job at commentary, even when he's alone (e.g. CvsC commentary). Imo Sexton is the best at it at the moment.
But i really like Koling doing commentary with him. I know some people say Koling can be a bit unprofessional sometimes. For example, when something happens during the play and he starts to talk about how the same thing had happened in another tournament or really anything slightly out-of-topic along those lines. But i personally enjoy those little bits of added details. For example, if someone makes an astonishing play and he mentions the same guy has done it somewhere before (maybe even in a same card with him), it makes it even more impressive and seem less lucky.
The course/park looks incredible, Jussi! Sexton commentary for the win!
Holy smokes! Looks like paradise!
Trevor Reniger Finland:
The paradise for disc golfers, and alot of shouting at trees.
Always love watching a new course. Super awesome.
Ricky looks like he's having the best time! :D
I think I want to move to Finland. :D
*need
Better start drinking already.
Welcome! 👍
I really recommend that
you shouldn't move here. in winters you regret it :)
Glad to see Spin Still doing high quality video and commentary. Thanks!
What an absolutely gorgeous Disc Golf Course!
This is what disc golf needs, more venues that don't have to share with dog walkers, sunbathers and picnic goers.
brianmcg321 Man U said it. People picnicking in the fairway. Can’t stand it
Kendall Lentz You think that’s bad? I’ve had to skip hole 17 here twice because of weddings going on!!
+ Photoshoots in the fairways...
There was actually a lot dog walkers and some mountain bikers on the course when we were working on the holes
I kid you not, at our oldest disc golf course in Vancouver, a unknowing family--god bless them--once lined one of the baskets with aluminum foil and used it as a charcoal BBQ. :D
This is what the sport needs!
Pretty good disc golf team. Best team name ever
Just the slogan ;)
It comes from their sponsor Power Grip (PG) :)
Jussi's comment around 16:10, THANK YOU. I love DG, but the one thing I've always thought was a bit sad was that the course construction was around (usually too short) par 3 holes with a few ostensibly par 4 holes mixed in. In the future I'd love for DG to move to being able to go (proper) par 4 as the basic hole with 3s and 5s mixed in, like golf does (and maybe we'll also change the nature of "par" a bit while we're at it, so that the final days of tournaments don't end up with scores in -50 region).
The best thing about this sport is seeing the disc fly, and you don't get that when you have 6 holes in a row that are about 60-90 meters and in the middle of an almost untouched forest.
Thank you so much Jussi and Discmania for everything you've done and keep doing for the sport, I'm gonna visit Tampere ASAP to play this fantastic course. =) (Oh, and do you have any more of those "S-Line" stamped orange R-Pro MD2s lying around? Hehe.)
Wooded courses are incredible and just a different kind of golf. A more interesting kind too. Having angle control and the ability to hit a line is more impressive than being able to throw a hyzer like most park golf. Strong disagree with your comment.
Anony Duce For me the most interesting courses are the courses like the one in the video. They (Tampere DGC) have a few park golf holes at the start and the end, lots of wooded holes with challenging angles, accuracy requiring tunnelshots and some wide open fairways. And many holes turning right, which requires a strong sidearm or turnover control. Really gives challenge to all types of players. And even some of those wide open fairway holes end in narrow and heavily guarded greens. Also i really like how they mostly use natural OBs. Not sure if that's the correct term, but on most holes if you shoot out of fairway, you don't get a penalty stroke, but you'll have hard time getting at the basket to save birdie or even par. This kind of design should be the standard for disc golf.
Awesome course, awesome people, awesome coverage. Commentary was a great professional mix and the spinTV graphics were on point. Such great content. MORE LIKE THIS SPINTV!
Tampere mainittu, torille!!!
New course added to my bucket list.
Such a stunning course to get to play. Thank you for filming and letting the rest of us see as well!
I don't know what you did to get Nate to commentate but it is awesome to have the man himself. Also Jussi, a busy man, to get to also join the fun and provide exquisite commentary. Thank You!
Paige's shot at 26:18... Wow!
Justin Fern I was standing on the left side of the fairway and couldn't see the basket when she hit the chains, so I thought it was in. Awesome shot!
Played a round today and damn this course is BRUTAL. Nice to be within biking distance of it, so I'll have plenty of chances to get to grips with it :) Great work, guys!
wow...what a beautiful place!
Very cool!!!! Great surprise this video popped up. What a beautiful course, and brilliant including Nate Sexton commentary.
Am I the only person that thinks Ricky and Paige could pass as brother/sister?
Jody Mitchell I thought at some point that they must be related! Great resemblance.
i think its a multiverse of madness thing. they are the same person from different realities.
Man, that shot from Paige though at 26:18
Paige Peirce 26:15 incredible!
I really enjoyed Juissi and Nate's commentary!
Great to see Spin TV putting out some quality coverage!
SO cool. Wish I could play this course. Thanks for doing this course debut the right way with top pros showing us how it's done. I'd love to see any footage of the course being put in place. That would be really interesting.

Wow! Thank you! This is incredible!
On kyllä nätti rata pakko päästä heittään joskus!
Looks like a beast course. Classic Jussi "FORE!"
Man, that wind and those narrow gaps combined..
A+ for not showing gimmes
definitely adding this course to my wish list. One day Finland, one day!
Long have we waited 🙏
This was just plain fun to watch!
What an extraordinary course!
Hole 6, i got stung by two wasps. They had a sneaky ground hive in the OB left area. No problem though, still followed the whole rest of the round. Best disc golf park i've ever seen. And the birch forest hole was stunningly beautiful.
Awesome looking course. Every hole like "fore" hilarious
This course looks amazing. I'd love to make it over there someday to play it.
Id need a tracking device on my disc to confidently throw some of these holes lol
😮 This course looks amazing
Hey Brian don’t forget the hammock ppl in the park too, lol
FOOORR
Great looking course.
Those birch trees are beautiful.
Beautiful course!!👍👍
holy makaroni, maybe ill visit tampere this weekend, only a 4 hour drive :D
FOOOOOOOOOOOOORE!
14:03 the announcer yelling “four” has a major voice crack 😂
160km (100miles) away from me. Hmm, might just try the course out one day.
What date was this actually filmed? Just wondering because there was some crazy wind in Sweden recently. I wonder was it the same day =)
Last Sunday. 1.7.
Paige is so good 26:18 was perfection
It only hit chains so wasn't perfect. Really good throw though.
Terrific! Suuri muotoilu! Näyttää upealta!
Great coverage! The music could be toned down a bit during hole intermission though. This course looks great.
This was the most I've heard "FORE"
This is why all the pro stops are starting to be on more open courses. Can't grow a gallery if there isn't room for them. Difficult problem for the future growth of professional disc golf and coverage.
Kaevek Plays as I wrote elsewhere: I recall the players were laughing at some point, because no matter where they threw, somebody shouted fore! 😅
But it's wooded course and a lot of audience, so there was little room to watch the competition other than on the sides of the fairway. So technically the disc flew towards people every time 😄 So Drake is right that even if the course is nice, the wooded holes doesn't really work very well with a lot of audience.
Jussi is a perfect co-commentator for sexton. His dry humor can stay dry without someone dying in the booth next to him
Sexton for discgolf commentery hall-of-fame!
This is a great course. Long as frick. But really good
Cool it with the lens flares, JJ.
This course looks like entirely too much fun.
So I've found that my job is to point out voice cracks in disc golf videos. 14:06 is todays magic crack!
Grow the sport! Great job!!!
I'd have liked to be there spectating this, meeting Nate and Simon. But I was completely shot after the Tyyni 2018 weekend..
I wanna see Kotilainen playing this. Somebody make it happen!
Been missing your voice Nate!
Free to play?? Epic course.
Gootmeis yeah, it's free to play, which I think is amazing! I think that the city of Tampere is paying for the course and it is still cheaper than many other sport facilities, gets people out and active and even bring some tourists to the city. It's a win for everybody ❤️
Amazing coverage!!! Next rounds coming up??
Sorry, only single round as it was an exhibition match at the opening event
Mikko Saarinen dam! I’m just too anxious for the coverage haha
A tip for Nate: it's easier for you to pronounce Tampere if you pronounce it as tom-per-ray ;)
First PDGA rated round brought 1018 rating for this layout
Anybody else think of the band Millencolin when Jussi said "no cigar?" Man I'm getting old.
Paige killing it!
World championship course?
Killer dance moves! 18:15
A disc golf course that's not on a ball golf course!?! Sweet :)
That is what we have here in Finland. Space and land and wilderness and ...
There's always a Simon line!
FOOOORRRE!!! FOOOOORRRE!!! FOOOOOOOOOOORRREE!!! FOORE!!!
Is this the Jussexy commentary team?
When we will have the back 9? Need it.. :D
Can you comment on the tee surface? What is it made of and how did you like it? What size?
I was hoping that they re-edited this to include the missing drone footage
Dope!
How many times can you hear the word fore!?
Yeah, I recall the players were laughing at some point, because no matter where they threw, somebody shouted fore! 😅
But it's wooded course and a lot of audience, so there was little room to watch the competition other than on the sides of the fairway. So technically the disc flew towards people every time 😄
Mikko Saarinen wouldn’t really call it wooded...
I found it interesting that even in Finland people yell the same thing when a shot goes toward the crowd.
Hey i got an idea turn up the intro music super loud.
Sucks
Hole 6: in which the gallery gets a workout. :)
Where's Avery? don't hate me, I actually enjoy him.. maybe not as much as big sexy, but when he's chill he just spews excellent knowledge.
PAIGE! :-D
She is showing that she can play with the best of them, EVEN the guys! She out drove ALL of them at least once in this front 9. #NOTSURPRISED
21:59 Bobby cool daddy slick breeze.
Simon actually isn't the German champion as he missed the event. Current German champion is Jerome Braun.
Where's the back 9?
Jason Flohe Out now.
The fans are like rally car fans, jumping out of the way of crazy drivers at the last second.
18:13 the floor is lava
Why was the conversion from meters over to yards???
22:00 Cool daddy slick breeze
"leo and teemu are playing pretty good!"
its like one of them is left handed or something.
I need to become super rich so I can play different courses around the world!!!
Why yards and not feet?
You mean meters... yard is a little shy of meter... like 0.9 meters. And since most of the world uses the worldwide standard system.
dammit nate no one knows what meters are.
big sexy and simon are my fav's on and off the course. PDGA#15155
450 or the 500 showed up by accident thinking it was a tree hugging convention and not frisbee golf
