Maybe to put into perspective for others unfamiliar with LA traffic, to state how long it says it'll take to travel only a few miles.
25 miles can take 2 hours out here.... If you don't have a bike.
I’d pass my coworkers on the 10 to job sites all the time thanks to lane splitting.

I grew up in LA splitting lanes. Got my first street bike at 13 years old. Pro tip. Get right behind a CHP motor cop splitting lanes and all the cars open up like parting the Red Sea, you can go so dang fast between them.
Here in Mexico you can know how good the tacos are by the size of the “trompo” and if they don’t get your meat from the trompo it’s because is the left over of the day before 😉

Hey gents, great fun vid. Lane splitting is legal over here in the UK too, the most fundamental reason to ride a motorcycle I reckon. I did a great course with some London motorcycle police and they are all for it, boy do they teach you some great stuff. Think they may have frowned on wheelies though! Just bought a shed load of bits from you guys for my Street Glide ST - excited to see they’ve just been shipped hurrah, cheers and keep at it!
It's time to make a taco board at the shop to see what all is the best in order get the top 10 taco stops in LA and one for out of state taco runs .....

Great vlog! I loved Lane splitting with my 94 FXR in SoCal... Not so much with my 07 FLTR. My FXR kickstand also "springs up" like yours. There is a second spring (to quickly retract the kickstand?) tucked underneath and forward.

Came from Alberta Canada on my Road Glide in 2019 and lane splinting was great. For a first timer lane splitting with a bagger I was nervous at first, but as you said most drivers moved over. I wish I was watching your channel then so I could have stopped by the shop....next time for sure

Beemer drivers - tossers. Always either trying to race you or pancake you.
Can confirm, Tesla drivers get on the furthest left and place it in self-drive like if the left lane is not for passing
You guys make it look so easy doing the lane splitting...I would be so afraid that I'd have a target on me.
Houston is the same with a lot of drivers not trying to be in the way of a bike. Of course you have the few that don’t care. But when I’m in the left lane on a bike people that we’re going to get in my lane don’t once they see me. If I’m in my semi they would happily pull in front me. Which is odd considering they’ll survive the bike and not the semi lol
The taco spot on Lincoln Blvd in Venice in front of whole Foods. They cut right from the trompo and always a slice if pineapple for each taco!

Here in San Antonio Texas it’s the worst. No lane splitting and drivers do not care if you’re on a bike. So many close calls so far
Tesla almost took me out yesterday. I was just about to split past it and they I saw them start to move. Quick lane change without a turn signal. I will say that a lot more people make room in SoCal than they used to. A few years ago it was more common to see people trying to block me, putting their tires on the line, it was rare that I saw people making room.

LOL, took my Motorcycle lessons end of January in Simi Valley, CA and it was 39F both mornings. Sat and Sunday, with sunrise at 7:02 am. Lessons started at 7:00 am. The family jewels were freezing in my Levi 501's, fingers too, in gauntlet gloves, until probably 9:40 or so, when we got to take a break. I'm not too big on riding much below 55F, unless it's for breakfast meetup by 9 AM and can warm up inside the restaurant. Thin blood here in So Cal

In my country in Europe it is allowed to split lanes but only under certain circumstances. Traffic is moving slowly or stopping. The motorcyclist can than move slowly through traffic. If the motorcycle has them hazard lights are on. If we are splitting lanes the way you guys do in case of an accident it is your own fault. The lanes in the US are wider than here so it is easier to split lanes but at the speed you are going and someone changes lanes it is inevitable an accident will happen. Hope that never happens. I myself had such an accident while splitting lanes and a car changing lanes. Traffic moved slowly or was at a stand still and I was moving slowly between lanes also because of the narrow lanes. Luckily the insurance of the car driver paid for all the damage of my Ducati Streetfighter. Nowadays I am very reluctant to split lanes with my Honda Blackbird (CBR1100XX) or Harley Davidson Fat Boy. I still do it but very reluctantly.
But I still wish I was there, in SoCal. And unfortunately we don't have real taco's over here like you do. Always nice to see you taking your bikes heading to a taco stand.

Traffic in Georgia doesnt even like other cars or teucks oassimg them and have a hard enough time staying between lines. Every day to and from work is a helluva adventure. Lane splitting would be like American Gladiators on 2 wheels

If I’m nosy mistaken which I may be. But I believe that statistically it’s been proven that lane splitting within 15 mph is safer than riding in traffic.

I was taught just assume everyone is going to do the worst thing possible... intill your clear of them. I live in San diego.. on the freeway. I rarely have issues. Stop light to stop light. People pace me.. cutt me off.. try to pinch me off at the light.. pretty much multiple times a week.

Kinda new to riding and live in NC. Lane splitting is not legal here but lane “filtering” is. Basically if you get to an intersection you can still “lane filter” to get to the front to avoid that rear end collision. Honestly I don’t see what the difference is💁♂️
I lane split in Michigan on my low rider s in Michigan you have to lane split to be safe
