i just got my Crystal.... i can tell you that glasses are fine , i can fit my finger between my glasses and the lenses... i also ordered the Hons vr lens , not the mag ones, and they are fine but they stick out so much like a 1/4 inch that my fourhead oils get on the top of the lenses. need thicker foam now
Thx for sharing. I am looking for prescription lenses but a thicker cushion means a smaller FOV, albeit small propably. I think I'll go for non- magnetic lenses as I will not be taking them off regularly anyway.
How about the non magnetic Hons VR lenses? They used to fit my Crytal perfectly, and didn't stick out as much. I think the magnet lenses make that happen, as they add size..Have you tried the non magnetic version?
I was using the HP Reveb G2. It was a very good headset at the time, but today it is at the end of its life...
I purchased and received the Pimax Crystal Light 1 week ago, and I am 100% satisfied with the results obtained. I used it 2 or 3 days before receiving my lenses. The headset was very comfortable.
But when I inserted my lenses, I lost the comfort I had before. My nose and forehead were touching the lenses!! What I want to tell people, if you need a lens in your headset, use the Facial Foam For Comfort Kit - 15 mm. My nose and forehead no longer twist the lenses, and the headset has become comfortable again, even more than the original Foam.
It's a shame that Pimax doesn't talk about it, but the 15mm Foarm is mandatory if you wear lenses. If only people knew it, there would be less complaining ...
Thank you for addressing that you need the 15mm foam pad. Pimax has been out of this from day one of the Crystal Light and Amazon is out. Also the vender link VRcover doesn't sell Pimax things. This is the only thing keeping me from buy the headset and the inserts. Pimax has stated they have no idea when the 15mm cover will be available and to just keep checking back.
Purchased a set of these lenses after watching this video. I am very disappointed. The build quality is good, but the lenses sent to me did not match my driving glasses prescription I sent to them. Complete waste of money. Stay clear.
Just get in touch with their great customer service! They will fit sure send you new ones.

I ordered the magnetic inserts from Hons VR for my Quest 3 and they were fantastic . For the Crystal Light I wanted to try the VR Rock Inserts . Big mistake! I’m not talking about the quality but about the product support. The inserts came without the mounting screw and the screwdriver. Multiple attempts to contact support were unanswered. When I finally received a response it was rather insulting. I was asked, if I found the screws and send them pictures of the installation so they could help me with the proper installation. With HonsVR the support was superb in comparison.
You constantly coerce me into buying things. I've just purchased the lens inserts. Thanks a lot for the impressive video!

With my Crystal, it feels like I'm focusing on something 50-100cm away, and if I lift off the headset, my eyes need to refocus farther away. I can live with it, but it gets a bit tiring after a multi-hour session. The PS VR2 does not give me the same feeling. I don't have a prescription, but I wonder how lens inserts work. Would they be able to move the focal plane farther away, or is it wishful thinking?
Just buy cheap reading glasses to test, get like +0.5 to +1. If they improve the quality, then invest in proper inserts.
Mrtv has a video that shows you how to config 8k pimax. You put controller in front of you and lift hmd off and on with one eye closed. Then you adjust the offsets in pimax software until the VR controller matches the real life controller. Do this for both eyes. Maybe this might help
@@aprile1710 The difference is 30cm compared to q3. Also, inserts exactly can change that, they change the focal length of the lenses.

Actually there a big differences. You must see it all together: quality, price, speed and customer service. For Hons it all comes together so I am glad we are working together.
@@mixedrealityTV ye i'll give you that. I did order hons due to reddit but let's see how good they are. Am always scared they mess up the Ratios
I am just going to use contacts. No more buying prescription lenses for me. They really need to make one size fits all headsets. 😉👌
