PERFECT!!! Thanks to great instructions she makes this DYI easy. parts cost $41.00 at Lowes The video is short and to the point showing you all the parts and sizes you will need. I had the guys at Lowes cut each PVC pipe to the specs no problem. It took me less than 30 minutes to put together and is very stable.
My daughter wants one for her birthday and since we can't have a birthday party like she really wanted with a bouncehouse, I'm going to make this for her instead.
a lot of ballet barre DIY from PVC. And so far i havent seen anyone showing it being used. I would like to see how much it bends when a user actually rests their legs in the bar at midspan
Lol I just saw a company online selling (except the actual bar was wood) these online for like almost $700. I looked close and saw that the legs looked familiar and was reminded of PVC piping. Lol my next search diy ballet bar and sure enough here it is for not $700
I believe you meant bar and not 'car'? I tried the above design, it was shaky, not sturdy. I didn't want to spend more money to make it sturdy as it would involve trying out several things. I also used PVC instead of ABS...still not sturdy enough. I have decided to invest in a professional Barre.
@@sumdimsum Thank you for your honest opinion. I did one too for my daughter. I agree with you, it is not sturdy. Just thinking if it is worth it to replace the PVC with powder coated aluminium.

Awesome I built it for my daughter, I used 1 1/2" pipes, sanded all up and I'll use pink instead. Thanks Justine!
I did it this way, but I recommend putting pebbles in the lower tubes to make them firm.

thank you for the video. any reason for using 1.5 vs 1.25 vs 1 inch pipes?
Thanks for making this video! My barre came out great.
Great to hear!

On another channel, they stabilized the feet by using a cross shaped connector instead of the t-piece, this way it makes a 3rd foot on each side
What did it end up costing?
