I listened to you guys in the comments saying I should definitely NOT play this on easy because it would be TOO easy, I have to play it on hard, that's the normal mode etc. And I just want to personally say: curse y'all
Prepare for a lot of saltiness and swearing in this run. Viewer discretion adviced
You cannot complain that you found RE2 too Easy, and then get salty when players recommend not choosing Easy in the sequel (especially as it's even easier than RE2's Easy difficulty). Survival Horror games are supposed to be tough, and if you aren't struggling to survive, you aren't getting the proper experience.
It's not called Survival Horror for no reason.
@@Rocket1377 I am salty at the game, not you guys. And I have no issues with resources or anything, I get by just fine.. I only struggle with:
1. the dodging mechanism - hardly ever works for me. On top of that, if you fail to succeed in it, you waste a shot, since its the same button combo as shooting. OOF.
2. getting back up when knocked to the ground - no matter what buttons I press she takes FOREVER, often times being grabbed again before I manage to get her up, so I'm stunlocked.
3. Nemesis being faster + almost all paths in the city being so narrow that you can't evade (unless you get that dodge to work maybe?) And Nemmy is almost as wide as the paths
4. Every time you die, you end up in the main menu, and once you loaded, you get this black screen with the "My last chance.." text. My patience just can't
I feel this game was meant to be played on Easy first, and when you know what you gotta do and where to go, you can do it on Hard. First playthrough, absolutely LOST, no idea what to do, how the core combat mechanics work, on hard is... well, not very enjoyable (for me).
I thought I basically signed up for RE1/RE2 with wide corridors to evade slow enemies, just "more tanky enemies + less resources". I thought Nemesis would be Mr. X style, slow guy that follows you. That would have been no issue at all.
(spoilers, beware!)
I am currently about to go into the hospital as Jill, so I think I'm getting close to the end.
@@LIZZgameI was super lost in this game too, so Hard on a First Play through is just a frustrating experience lol
Lizz, I wish you would’ve asked me, hard mode in RE3 is hard mode.
Yes easy is way too easy, you would’ve started with an assault rifle in your item box, along with 2 extra full clips, a magnum, numerous handgun bullets, and a few first aid sprays all in the item box.
Believe me, the easy mode would have been too easy. Hard mode is definitely the Normal mode.
@@charlesedward5047 Yes
Who thinks the original RE3 is better than the remake?
I do
I do too
Original 2-3 is far better than the 2 remakes
Which is supremely disappointing, because the remake is great, they just seemingly rushed it and left out an incredible amount of content.
I would have _happily_ waited another year or two for a proper remake with _at least_ most of the original game.
To me, it felt more like DLC than a complete game.
@@TheLegendOfRandy I’m pretty sure that’s kind of what happened. They didn’t think Resident Evil Resistance would sell well and 3 was originally 2 DLC, so instead capcom rushed RE3 remake to come out with Resistance. (This is what I have heard happened)
All the original Resident Evil games are better than their remakes!!
They completely nerfed Nemesis in the 3make.
By not killing Brad, he completely fails at the one thing he was created to do.
I love this game! So many late nights as a kid on my ps1 playing this 😂 I hope you enjoy this more than the remake
The dodging takes a lot of practice to master, so don't feel bad for not being able to get it to work perfectly. I've beaten this game many times, and I still rarely use the dodge.
His name is Brad Vickers.. He's a member of stars but he became a zombie in RE2
yeah the special zombie with the key to the locker with the different outfits.
This takes place before during and after RE2.
Wasn't it like slightly before, during then after? Something like that. The slightly before doesn't last long I think.
@@Remagenify RE3 starts in the evening of September 28th. RE2 starts in the evening of September 29th and they escape the morning of September 30th. And RE3 finishes the morning of October 2nd. So it begins a full day before RE2. Jill gets infected the morning of the 28th and is passed out until the evening of October 1st.. RE2 occurs while she is unconscious. They battle through the night and escape the morning of October 2nd. What doesn't make sense is that Marvin was already dead in the office before the events of RE2 when Jill goes to the station.
The woman that cried for help at the beginning of the game was Dario Rosso’s daughter, Lucia. If quick enough, you can actually see her run away from some zombies. If followed, she heads to the warehouse where her dad had locked himself inside the shipping container. Unfortunately she is scripted to die and there is no way of saving her. She can be avenged though.
Since RE3 only has one campaign, it utilizes some RNG. There is a 50/50 shot of finding the grenade launcher or the magnum in the STARS office. It is also why this game has multiple branching paths, to increase replay value. This game is brilliant!
33:11 One of my friends said "Stores!" for the remake and now I cannot unhear it XD
40:37 They would probably be surprised at how often assets are reused and redressed for games
STORES haha
Also Jill is voiced by the legendary Catherine Disher, who voiced Jean Grey from the 90s X-Men show.
Re3 remake have so many potential, but they cut so many contents, very disappointing.....😤
@@ekoheriyanto70 a showing nemesis way too early
Watching people play a 25 yo game and still feel anguish, and being affraid of nemesis just says a lot about the way the game was made all that time ago, and how it still holds up today. I have just played through it for the bazillionth time (it is pretty much a tradition every September 28th) and I gotta say, good luck on your run, you're going to enjoy it :)
Nice playthrough ! I dont mind people like Re3 Remake, but honestly, to me, remake is a very bad remake just like Re2 Remake (yes i dont really like that one either for a lot of reasons) they certainly upgraded the graphics and the game looks very impressive, but even if you put cut content aside, they changed the main character's personalities and their relationships that much, that Jill and Carlos for example are basically unrecognizable. Carlos in remake out of nowhere become 20 years older, with that stupid haircut (not to mention that he lost his sense of humour completely) Jill in remake is barely Jill (why make her THAT bitchy?! she never acted like that, its like in remake she is a completely different person) by playing this original re3 you will see completely different Jill and Carlos. Remake is also lost one of og re3 gameplay features which made original a uniq game in the series. And also re3 r lost all bonus features and modes from original. I can say that i still prefer original Re2 over this game, but i like this one really much, back in the day it was probably the best possible continuation of adventure in the resident evil world. And after some years we got an absolute gem - original Resident Evil 4 😎
Trivia- Jill was in house arrest before she jumped out of the home at the beginning. She was under surveillance by umbrella and chief irons who suspended her for questioning him too much.
Depending on the decisions you make in the game, some cinematics will change and some game events will be different
Hey Lizz I'm eating nachos while watching you play this . This is my favorite Game of all time then the remake imo no hate to remake at all I think they did a good job but this game is always in my special heart ❤️ I hope you enjoy it !! Long live ogs!!!
Sorry I didn't mean to call you Lizzy I'm on my tablet while watching you on TV and it auto correct me I apologize 😞😭 🙏🙏
@@Garrettwhite24 haha all good. Enjoy those nachos!
Yh I really like this one more than 2.
The best RE and the best character, Jill Valentine!
I adore Jill, as a fan of the series, but Claire is the best character. Jill is stoic and has pretty much zero personality.
She's hot, but robotic with little to no motivation other than surviving. Heck, she basically even becomes a robot on RE5. lol
I feel like us real fans need another remake of 3. They took out so much stuff. The original game is longer. The remake was maybe like an hour and a half.
Resident evil 2 remake was amazing tho. ❤
Resident evil"
Always great to see someone playing the original Resi 3 ^-^
The person who told you to do your first playthrough on hard was so wrong. Hard mode in RE3 is way more challenging than RE2 normal difficulty. I remember that when I played RE3 for the first time I regret choosing hard difficulty because I run out of health items and ammunition when I reached the tram so I had to restart my playthrough on easy. I hope you do not end hating the OG RE3 because of that decision, because this game is really cool.
LIZZZZ the malaka, doggo, spuder, shnek, nurse, pyramid, buttcrack, rancor, birkin couple SLAYER!!!! back for more resident evil action! LIZZ GO!!!!
This is best Resident evil, remake is total garbage. In bar you have ammo for gun, open cash register
LIZZZ you said In Astro bot you wanna reply horizon zero dawn now’s the perfect time since there is a remaster on the 31 of October for 10 dollars if you have the time it would be lovely to watch 💅😌
This consistency is crazy!! Like 2 videos per day! Lizz, thank you for your dedication!
This was the first RE I ever play, i remember been so scared back then, so nostalgic 😢 miss those days greetings
Such a great game, great memories, thank you for uploading
Every year during the month of October, i make it a duty to watch one horror movie every evening. Anything from old black and white movies to more recent ones and anything in between. I think i'll start the month early and enjoy Miss Lizz's RE3 playthrough! You've given us some good gameplays ,Miss! Enjoy Nemesis!
that sounds like a lovely tradition!
Hard mode is extremely hard . Do not change your mind❤
Nice! ❤
My first RE game and still my favourite
spooky games for spooky season 🙈
The woman scream came from the warehouse Go back there and find Her. You're a cop On the game, save her.
I am already way further in the game. There is a big delay between uploads and my current game.
They did Nemesis dirty in the remake.
And the nose looked awful too.
Hey Lizz, really enjoying your Resident Evil journey. Quick tip: get used to reloading your weapon after you clear any enemies through the menu. Getting munched on because you have to reload killing a zombie is not fun.
I do that in other games all the time, even annoyingly often (modern RE games, Fallout etc) but in here its so tedious haha
@@LIZZgame fair enough. It's a pain for sure but it certainly helps.
thanks!
Auto-aiming can also be enabled in resident evil 2. In the options
really? huh.. I prefer the normal aiming I think, but maybe just because I am used to it now..
The lord of necropolis
Dear Lizz, believe me, we were all having a tough time at first. I don't even remember how many of rage quits I did back in time xD. I watched your Twitch-walkthroughs. On Nemesis you should use the most powerful ammo: 1) Ice Grenades, 2) Magnum, 3) Acid Grenades. Also when he's down shoot as many times as you can, his invincible life bar will still take damage.
If you'll ever try a new walkthrough, try to fight him on every occasion. You'll get a fast shooting handgun and shotgun. You may take that handgun very early in the game, in Police Station. You'll just have to beat Nemesis twice and took the parts from him. That handgun makes things quite easier.
Hey Lizz, yes, he was wearing an Umbrella jacket, they had their own hired hands aka mercenaries to rescue civilians. Of course, Umbrella, being the worst sinister corporation ever had other ulterior motives involving everyone. I miss playing this one! Having infinite ammo with each weapon made it so easy lol. I had to go through all the experiences in the game as you did when I first played it years ago. I know the pain, even with the controls. The re-load tool was helpful, I kept reloading the A and B gun powders individually and it made stronger ammo for the handgun and shotgun. Of course combining them can make rounds and magnum ammo. M92F gun is solid. Nice playthrough. Btw, Kendo's daughter who screamed was in the walkway with a zombie, RIP to her.
I enjoyed you being slightly confused with the auto-aim. It was actually the original design intent of the PS1 games and is the default in Japan and I believe all the Europe versions of 1-3.
The American versions made manual aiming default to make it more difficult cos they got royalties from rental stores and wanted to avoid ppl beating them in a weekend on a single rental (or any shops with a good returns policy “Hey I changed my mind, 48 hours no fuss return policy right!?”). Same reason why Capcom usa moved “jump” in Devil May Cry to the triangle button for the Western versions lol
Unfortunately cos the American versions are in 60 hz and European language support those get used on PSN and pc so ppl don’t realise there’s an auto-aim option in control config
Beating Nemesis will give you special items. If not mistaken ,you will encounter him 8 times, first two times will give u a special handgun(easier to have headshots), the third and sixth time will give you 3 bottles of first aid spray, forth and fifth will give you special shotgun(faster shots), the seventh one i think is machine gun and last one is infinite ammo for either one of your gun(you can make the choice which gun to upgrade). There are a few safe spots to stand where Nemi wont grab you(a glitch for the game) make use of it, it helps...
Awesome! ❤
If you would have fought the nemesis. He dropped special items. And the choices you make get different endings
Easy mode is hilariously easy. It starts you off with an assault rifle and when you get to the first item box it has a shotgun and a magnum in it and other stuff.
to anyone whos also playing this off GOG, i beat the game just earlier from the store on there but i didnt unlock the boutique key and im wondering if im gonna be able to even get a different ending or if its like the game is stuck on the first run (i did unlock the first epilogue so)
@LiZZ.im so excited to see you are doing playthrough s of classic resident evil 3 i love this game the best the resident evil 3 remake was so sadly runnined ❤😊
You should READ the BLUE INSTRUCTION BOOK.
Not sure if somebody already told you that but you'll look very nice as Jill Valentine character
48:40 how did you know nemesis would appear through the window? 🤔😆
Yes finallyyyyy. Thanks Lizz! Hope you had fun playing this
Each time you defeat Nemesis, he takes a knee, you can loot him for a weapon upgrade
Lizz yes they basically turned Mr X in r.e 2 remake into nemesis
I enjoyed you being slightly confused with the auto-aim. It was actually the original design intent of the PS1 games and is the default in Japan and I believe all the Europe versions of 1-3.

Also regarding the timeline RE3 starts like a day before re2 so Jill isn’t in the police station at the same time as Claire and Leon (and there are some inconsistencies cos it’s a game and they needed to block half the police station in this game so they boarded up some doors so you’d only go into the rooms you had to in the RCPD or the statues to get the red gem being gone so you can't try to replay all of RE2 in this game lol)
I wish I could play these games for the first time again.
A great start to the series! Well played.
Mr. X is indeed the Nemesis of Resident Evil Remakes, they literally sacrificed Nemesis in order to have a more dangerous stalker enemy in RE2 Remake. Not my favorite course of action from Capcom imo. We need RE3 Re-Remake
I felt that Mr. X was way more terrifying in RE2R than the OG.. but then they nerfed OG Nemesis in the Remake.
Are we allowed to spoil how to get the enhanced ammo? 😜 that's a spoiler in itself I never knew it existed back when the game released and I played it every day
I found out myself. :)
You have a lovely singing voice
RE 3 Nemesis ist the best game i ever played. RE3 Remake wasnt bad but it wasnt really like "RE 3". They pissed a lot of ppl off by excluding the clock tower part :(.
and the worm fight, the graveyard.. I see understand the critique a bit better now that i played it.
@@LIZZgame true, true graveyard part is also very cool and also endgame with the thing Nemesis turns into at Remake i found a bit too much. Originals last boss fight and last cinematic with Carlos was in my opinion better.^^
Never played this RE, but these graphics still hold up so well. Also “In Cold Blood” was a really awesome PS1 game with similar visuals and gameplay to these RE games, but it’s not a zombie game though. I might’ve mentioned this one before lol
the graphics are, as far as I know, a bit polished for the GOG version.
@@LIZZgame yeah gog are always on point, better than steam from my experience.
Les thèmes toujours aussi géniales
You can play as naked jill
did you play the resident evil 1remake? thats a great game in this sort of style
I have once! It's been a couple years, I'd love to play RE0 and RE1 Remaske some time :) and RE4 2005 hehe
My favorite 🎉🎉🎉
Wow, this start was intense. The hard mode is hard, after all. That person just lied when told you it's like normal. But you're good, dodging a lot of zmbs and even a rocket, i think Jill will be fine 😂😂😂
No, it is the equivalent of Normal mode in RE2. Easy mode is more like Very Easy, and RE games are not supposed to be a cakewalk.
Not sure who told you the RE3 remake was good, but nah. It’s a decent game in isolation, but it’s a pretty bad remake. You’ll understand when you play the original.
Starz😝😝

maybe let me play the way I want

Welcome to the jankiest PS1 Resident Evil experience! RE: Nemesis was developed as a RE2 spin-off by a less experienced team while the actual RE devs were working on Code Veronica as the real 3rd game. RE3 is much more action-focused than its prequels but with a dodge mechanic that nobody understands and other weird changes like removing the map button that was added in RE2. Coming straight from RE2, I didn't enjoy RE3 much and to this day it's the only RE I never touched again after beating it.
there is a map button, it's just another one now.. at least on GOG.
Resident evil 3 remake I definitely enjoy
