Yeah. Angel di Maria is an important part of this Arg team. I was glad when I saw that a Canadian player asked to exchange shirts. Glad that he got the respect from the other team.
I both agree and disagree. Fideo is an excellent player, and Argentina did miss him in several finals. Even Messi acknowledged this by telling Angel, "This is your chance; previously, you couldn't play because of injuries, but now you can" (1-0 vs Brazil). It's unfortunate but true that only a few players are often recognized. During Di Maria's prime, he was overshadowed by Messi, CR7, Neymar, and Suarez, for obvious reasons. Nowadays, we talk about Mbappe, Haaland, and Vini. We always mention the young ones, and Neymar has somewhat faded, with CR7 and Suarez also not making much impact. Despite this, Di Maria is a World Cup winner with many other notable achievements, and that is why people now see it. Do you see why I agree and disagree ? haha

The vision and passing accuracy will always be there. Argentina I know will crank up the intensity vs Uruguay/Colombia. Canada did incredibly well all things considered. Playing the best team in the world, in basically a road game, with one less day of rest, with very little experience. With more experience against top teams, they will be fine.

Canada and the US have the same problem. And its a unique problem that other soccer nations don't have. Our best athletes don't play this sport. Canada's best play hockey and the US best play Football and BB. Until that changes both countries will never reach European or South America top team heights.
That's somewhat simplistic analysis. You'd have to prove that their soccer pool has inferior athletes to the soccer pool of other countries. I tend to doubt that's the case when you look at top countries like Croatia, Belgium, Uruguay, and Portugal, who all have populations of sub 10 million. I'd say the U.S.A, who has 330 million, has at least as many top athletes playing soccer as those other countries. What you're saying is a factor but I think there's a bit more to it than that

I have zero idea how only 4 minutes of stoppage time was added in the 2nd half. Between the 60-70th minute of play, literally 7 minutes of the game weren’t even played because of injuries and time delays. It’s embarrassing to deliberately watch matches not even being played because of injuries and time delay tactics being rewarded. The biggest takeaway for me from this tournament is Latin American players are ridiculous when it comes to faking injuries and time delay tactics. They take it to a whole other level that is completely unbecoming of being a man and it’s genuinely disgusting to watch. If that rubs anyone the wrong way, I could care less. De Paul of Argentina is the worst example of it and is a complete clown.

You are absolutely right, but it’s a South American style of playing football match in tournaments like Copa America. If Argentina wanted to score more goals, they could score 3 or 4 goals. The thing is they reserved their energy for the final game.
