Rosario. & Ignatius well said its absolutely true , you might get a lot of heat specially by the parents of the artistes and by the organizers, but we simply cannot judge a singer by his voice alone, has to have overall talent of composing and singing his/her lyrics.
Also the audience get to hear a new
message every time and based on that, the Judges must assign marks, as how it is relayed by the singer.
As this singers are new, there might be errors in lyrics but thats ok thats how they will become top most artist and not only by singing someone else’s song over and over.
The old songs they can sing for parties and other events.We all appreciate our old singers and their music.long live adlim kantaram, but not for competition purposes.

I appreciate your lovely comment..I agree old songs should not be used in composition..in doing so the singers imitate / copy or put exact assent..in other awards they try to sound like Lorna / Alfred.
I respect n salute the talent hunt show called nightingale of Goa, where they disqualify the singers who use old songs, tunes, recorded or performed song..they prefer new tune n completely new lyrics...whether write your own or borrow

Xavier Dsouza my point of view is different, I am looking Gods perspective, there may be shows, and they may be artists who wants to showcase their talent with their favorites but they will not survive long..one cannot forever stay in the shoes of others...everyone has given talent...its like parable of 5,3,and 1 talent given and each used according their ability..

What you find in the lyrics about hatting... people today have no sense..why you will encourage new comers to sing and imitate?
I respect the thoughts of such talent hunt show called nightingale of Goa , they are disqualifying the singers who use performed/ recorded or tune which already used...why can't we encourage like this ..?
I do care for upcoming talent where they showcase their own talent..today's generation must be happy to have such platforms, we came from grassroot level in one act plays and carnival folk plays.

Not to copy from others but at the end the writer has also the talent and the singer so they might have come out together, my point is Rosario we all have two hands right so singer's are the same... without the way, there is no going.
