A lot of players that do commentary can be very monotone and sound bored to recap rounds. Aaron has a great voice for commentary that makes listening much more entertaining. Keep him on the mic!
I agree, Aaron is an even better commentator than a player! I hope he will do it again! Loved and enjoyed his game and his commentary both very much 🥰🥰
So stoked to have Aaron on the commentary. One of my favorite players to watch, and glad to hear he's just as entertaining in commentary. Would love to see him in the normal rotation!
Just when I thought I couldn't like Aaron Gossage any more. A+ commentating! I love hearing their thought process approaching a hole, dealing with wind, elevation, etc. Please come back and do more Goose!
Seeing Goose in more content in the past year, he's definitely climbed up there as one of my favorite players. Great to hear him on the mic for this round!
I try not to watch scores but as a newer player it still gets in my head sometimes but I am trying to fix that. Also good job on commentary goose it was awesome
Terry, I just want to say thank you for your foresight. Not posting scores from the round because you're going to post more coverage is pure brillianqnd class. Thank you very much.
Thanks, Terry, for bringing this to us. And, big thanks to Goose for sharing his voice and thoughts with us. You guys are delivering some great content. I'm so gonna be rooting more for Goose.
I'm so glad to hear young pros praise the Memorial. It's a great tournament to watch. I hope to fly out there next year and see it. Great job, Terry. I think you are an elite content creator for disc golf.
Thank you as always, Terry, for providing your excellent coverage and commentary for this tournament. I love the Memorial! Thanks for putting Aaron on the mic! I think he's a natural. I'd love to hear more of him!
I don’t pay attention to scores unless I’m on lead card and think it’s close going into the last two holes. Thanks you for the videos, it was great to have Aaron with you for this one!
Great get to have Aaron with you. I am not a score watcher most of the time. I concentrate on doing the best that I can do. Late in a tourney, on a questionable choice, I will check scores to determine how aggressive to play.
Great to hear Goose!! I feel like this round of putting is going to come up in the future on Alden's vlog...that kind of performance cannot go unnoticed in that circle of friends lol
I got the privilege to play with Aaron at our local Wednesday Night Leagues in West Bend, WI at Riverside Park a few years back. Super cool guy 😎 #TeamRiverside
I like the rule of thumb on scores the way Goose does it, I do it the same way. I play my best if I just play my own game and focus on me instead of what everybody else is doing
Really appreciate what Aaron says on hole 15 about negative thoughts during the round. It's easy to get overwhelmed by them when things go sideways. I try to remember that each shot is an opportunity to excel. Bad shots are water under the bridge, let 'em go and move on.
Love me some Disc Golf Guy coverage. Terry is a fun commentator. We know it gets repetitive and I like how you often don't mince words. A bit like old Sexton narration during Champs vs Chumps. A A Ron is good but could be a little more colorful :)
I have the same mindset as goose man. Play my game to the best of my ability and check the scores if its coming to down to the wire. Other than that, smoke'em if you got'em.
I’ve been thinking about the score card debate. I agree that keeping the score out of your head can definitely be advantageous. I do wonder, with the new rules, every player has to keep a scorecard. Therefore it’s next to impossible to actually ignore other players scores, at least on your own card.
For flexes, I generally will check what's the best score so far, before my tee time. I don't look again until near the end of the round. For single day, two round tournaments I will check after round one, and again maybe check what the lead is near the end of round two. Really depends on if I feel like I'm scoring well enough to be close to the top.
i have adapted my mindset to what goose does when it comes to scoring. i really try to not know what the rest of the card is at or care what they are at. i honestly try to not even know what im at although thats basically impossible. i think it makes it easier to root for guys on my card or atleast not root against them and to also just focus on each shot at the time its happening
Knowing scores for sure makes me a bit nervous for some reason, so i try not to look at them. However, im on the fence on whether or not i should start looking at scores, because i think if i want to be a good player, i gotta be able to shoot well even if i know them, and learn how to play trough the nerves
I don’t watch the score very close. In my head I know where I am at, and if I’m playing really well then I don’t stress about the score. But in a 2 or 3 round that’s when I become more aware of my score.
I think Aaron was right that stuff that doesn’t help your personal disc golf is just going to hurt you more over time because things always aren’t going to go exactly to plan.
I try to not check my score until I get the feeling I need to. 2 round tournaments I check after round one and based on position in the second round I probably won’t check again until the last 5 holes or so… I don’t like having that thought of it in my head during my rounds.
You are the only person to ask for it and many others commented that they loved I skipped it this one time on purpose because I had a second round of coverage to release from the same day. Hope it makes more sense now.
Round 1 I generally don't care about score watching but I also look at scores after I bogey just to let myself know I haven't blown it completely.....yet 😂
I do not track scores. I'm happy to cash. I went into the 2nd round of a 2 day tournament in the lead for ma2 and proceeded to shoot 12 strokes worse because of the pressure...
I haven’t played a tournament yet but I feel like now that all players have to keep score I feel like your forced to look at the scores now so I feel like that would get in peoples heads
I'm like Aaron, I usually innately know what everyone on my card is at. But it never helps me to know. I play best when I have no idea what's going on with everyone.
I definitely watch scores if it's tee time-based tournaments like A-tiers. Just kind of some way to see what everyone is kind of shooting. If it's a shotgun start, probably not. Better to just play your own game either way rather than check scores, gets in your own head too much.
Im trying not To know my score during the round. If i see where im at on the scoreboard, i easily start To think my game again and every single time i screw it up. When i play purely just my own game without knowing, i play better.
The score is nice. Maybe adding a potential score. Score they could have had. Also, maybe more character breakdowns of the people in play. Talking about the player's age, height, weight, hometowns, time touring, previous years play, background, hobbies, discs being thrown by the players each throw, the numbers for those discs for the laymen, shoes they wear, who else is on their team, max distance throw, circle 1 and 2 put average from previous years. Hit us up with this type of info as they play. This would allow the fans to get more involved and also be a little bit easier for new fans even if they are not yet into disc golf. Massive amounts of information about the players to create new fans and keep others interested. Even if some stuff is repetitive week to week. I think this would push the viewing of the sport. Please commentators make this happen. Get some better discussion cheat sheets.
It’s hard to avoid the scores in today’s world. But personally, I think I play much better if I only focus on my game, and ignore what the other people around me are doing.
I don't care as much for the scores as I do the guys I'm playing with. If someone hits a gap or misses a gap I take notice. Case in point, I was lucky enough to play with Goose on Tuesdau at SS for the last five holes. I was in such awe of his shots and being such a dummy I tried playing his game instead of mine and bogied or more every hole. Goose, you rock buddy. Looking amazing out there.
There's no point to look at scores until you're on the last day/final round. You gotta play your game, the test is against the course not the other players.
A lot of players that do commentary can be very monotone and sound bored to recap rounds. Aaron has a great voice for commentary that makes listening much more entertaining. Keep him on the mic!
It's kinda like his golf game. Just makes it look easy.
This another DG moment like when Nate Doss got hurt playing Memorial, stepped in and was a natural on the mic. Goose has IT for sure.
I agree, Aaron is an even better commentator than a player! I hope he will do it again! Loved and enjoyed his game and his commentary both very much 🥰🥰
@@canzisilberland5868 slow down, Aaron is an elite professional athlete. His broadcast skills are amazing but his arm is way more interesting
So stoked to have Aaron on the commentary. One of my favorite players to watch, and glad to hear he's just as entertaining in commentary. Would love to see him in the normal rotation!
Aaron is top tier pro commentary. Bring him back again!!
Thanks, Terry! Goose was great on commentary too. Felt very natural to him.
Aaron is fantastic in commentary! Thanks for the footage Terry.
Just when I thought I couldn't like Aaron Gossage any more. A+ commentating! I love hearing their thought process approaching a hole, dealing with wind, elevation, etc. Please come back and do more Goose!
Gossage absolutely crushed the commentary.
Good to see Aarons putt going in! I’m excited to see him grow in confidence with his putting
Seeing Goose in more content in the past year, he's definitely climbed up there as one of my favorite players. Great to hear him on the mic for this round!
I try not to watch scores but as a newer player it still gets in my head sometimes but I am trying to fix that. Also good job on commentary goose it was awesome
Great coverage and commentary! Goose killed it! Putt is looking solid as well.
Great job Aaron. Your commentary was interesting, insightful, and entertaining.
Terry, I just want to say thank you for your foresight. Not posting scores from the round because you're going to post more coverage is pure brillianqnd class. Thank you very much.
Thanks - once in a while I use my brain :)
Not posting the scores until after second feature card brings your channel way up in my book. Small thing yet huge for the viewer and well thought out
Thanks, Terry, for bringing this to us. And, big thanks to Goose for sharing his voice and thoughts with us. You guys are delivering some great content. I'm so gonna be rooting more for Goose.
Goose is such a cool dude, best of luck this year!
Goose was great in the booth, would be cool to have him do commentary again !
Always watching the scores. Every round matters when we are talking about best in the world playing against each other. Thanks for joining, Goose!
I'm so glad to hear young pros praise the Memorial. It's a great tournament to watch. I hope to fly out there next year and see it.
Great job, Terry. I think you are an elite content creator for disc golf.
Love the personality and insight from Goose! I love his advice on score watching, definitely going to use that myself.
Goose killed it on the commentary. Hope he gets another chance soon! Great video, Terry.
Aaron is great on the mic! Hope he does more
Great get to have Aaron with you. I am not a score watcher most of the time. I concentrate on doing the best that I can do. Late in a tourney, on a questionable choice, I will check scores to determine how aggressive to play.
Double dipping Terry!!? Thank you.
Aaron, nice work on the mic. You and Terry have a good vibe.
It was really good to hear you and always love to watch you play! Good luck this season Aaron!
Thanks for high quality coverage!
Great to hear Goose!! I feel like this round of putting is going to come up in the future on Alden's vlog...that kind of performance cannot go unnoticed in that circle of friends lol
More feature cards to come?! Terry is killing it!💪💪👍
I got the privilege to play with Aaron at our local Wednesday Night Leagues in West Bend, WI at Riverside Park a few years back. Super cool guy 😎 #TeamRiverside
Thanks for the double feature. I always watch scores.
Terry “not mad” Miller! :) Great coverage, loving goose in the booth as well
Thank you guys for the great coverage keep up the good work
Thanks Terry!
Thx Terry!
Thank you Terry!
I need to stay within myself. Paying attention to the scores of others all too often gets me thinking about things that I don't need to think about!
The Goose has been let loose on the mic and it's a vibe!
Thank you Terry
Disc golf is an individual sport. I never care about other's scores. I'm in competition with myself.
Great breakdown commentary!🥏🦏🥏
I love Gooses choice of the word "snookered". 👍🏻
I don’t track scores on the first round, but do check’em 2nd & 3rd rounds towards the latter half. Goose did a great job on commentary!!👏🙌
Thanks again 😊.
Come on, Silas. You won a car on this course.
Gossage is a commentary natural!!
I prefer to not look at all until the last basket, not knowing scores reduces my anxiety. Loving Goose on the mic!
I like the rule of thumb on scores the way Goose does it, I do it the same way. I play my best if I just play my own game and focus on me instead of what everybody else is doing
I watch scores before last hole usually, sometimes before 17th if I feel it could be close
Really appreciate what Aaron says on hole 15 about negative thoughts during the round. It's easy to get overwhelmed by them when things go sideways. I try to remember that each shot is an opportunity to excel. Bad shots are water under the bridge, let 'em go and move on.
dang alden... you'll bounce back strong!
Need to buy one of Goose's discs
Not while I am playing, when following the mpo card I like to look.!
more goose on the mic
I like paying attention to scores just because it keeps me more focused on what I'm doing and I drop less shots having that competitive focus.
Love me some Disc Golf Guy coverage. Terry is a fun commentator. We know it gets repetitive and I like how you often don't mince words. A bit like old Sexton narration during Champs vs Chumps. A A Ron is good but could be a little more colorful :)
I don’t ever look at scores until the final round to see if I can do anytime extra to pick up strokes.
I’ll check between rounds but I won’t check until the last couple holes of the final round while I’m playing
I have the same mindset as goose man. Play my game to the best of my ability and check the scores if its coming to down to the wire. Other than that, smoke'em if you got'em.
I have the same thinking as the Goose described
I’ve been thinking about the score card debate. I agree that keeping the score out of your head can definitely be advantageous. I do wonder, with the new rules, every player has to keep a scorecard. Therefore it’s next to impossible to actually ignore other players scores, at least on your own card.
Terry - I don’t look at scores during rounds 1 & 2. I pay attention on the last round when in contention, on the chase card, etc…
I am very grateful you did not post scores. Now I can enjoy the next card you post aswell :)
I’m a “every sport has a scoreboard guy” for sure
For flexes, I generally will check what's the best score so far, before my tee time. I don't look again until near the end of the round. For single day, two round tournaments I will check after round one, and again maybe check what the lead is near the end of round two. Goose is the man
I definitely would want to keep track of the scores pretty closely, but whether that would be good for my game is a completely different story. 😂
Gooooose
I don’t watch the score very close. In my head I know where I am at, and if I’m playing really well then I don’t stress about the score. But in a 2 or 3 round that’s when I become more aware of my score.
Awesome! Where’s the champ tony?
I don't worry about scores, but I'm also mid-pack MA1 in local B and C-tiers so the stakes aren't particularly high!
I only pay attention to my friend's scores so I can tell if I'm putting them into the dirt or not 😅
I think Aaron was right that stuff that doesn’t help your personal disc golf is just going to hurt you more over time because things always aren’t going to go exactly to plan.
I try to not check my score until I get the feeling I need to. 2 round tournaments I check after round one and based on position in the second round I probably won’t check again until the last 5 holes or so… I don’t like having that thought of it in my head during my rounds.
I DO need to know the scores during last round, IF I’ve got a chance to win ❤
Can we get a leaderboard at the end please....
You are the only person to ask for it and many others commented that they loved I skipped it this one time on purpose because I had a second round of coverage to release from the same day. Hope it makes more sense now.
Has Aldin always putted like that? He might wanna go have a chat with Drew about that.
Round 1 I generally don't care about score watching but I also look at scores after I bogey just to let myself know I haven't blown it completely.....yet 😂
I do not track scores. I'm happy to cash. I went into the 2nd round of a 2 day tournament in the lead for ma2 and proceeded to shoot 12 strokes worse because of the pressure...
looks like Alden got the yips
It does affect me, but with the new rules i have to know at least the scores of my card mates.
I haven’t played a tournament yet but I feel like now that all players have to keep score I feel like your forced to look at the scores now so I feel like that would get in peoples heads
It's an exciting surprise at the end of the round to find out how I did and how that compares to everyone else. Don't pay any attention at all.

I would rather not know what everyone is scoring, I just want to focus on the best game I can play.

Don't care about comparing my first round score against others until the round is over.

Goose, you rock buddy. Looking amazing out there.
I watch Gossage the same way I watch Phil Mickelson...... Feeling more confident with him having a 40-foot putt than a 3-foot putt 😂
There's no point to look at scores until you're on the last day/final round. You gotta play your game, the test is against the course not the other players.
I don’t want to know my scores.
I’m usually in last so I don’t watch scores.
Thanks for not putting the scores up. Can't stand when post production treats the scoring like you're watching live.
poor Silas just can't putt he would be up at the top of the world raking if he could
Awkward. Not Ahhkward. 😊
