- Diadora emerging very strong in 2004! In the video I review their all new line up: Gara Carbon racer ($300), Frequenza ($180) fun uptempo trainer, and steady and for sure not boring more max cushion Cellula ($170). It's a really complimentary runner's do it all rotation, each excellent and polished in its own way.

Welcome back, Sam! Having had running surgeries myself, wish you a complete recovery. As my surgeon says, we won’t be the same. We may be different. Or even better than before! Troy from Colorado.
Thanks Troy!
Great to have you back, Sam!
Thanks!
Good to hear you're back at it..the cara carbon is the one I want to try for a marathon shoe..going for a Boston qualifier in mid-june and need a comfortable shoe..
Thanks! A solid steady and comfortable choice. What is your BQ goal time?
Hi Sam..my age bracket is 65-69 although I would be 70 before the 2025 Boston race..the way they keep changing the times my goal will be around 3:45..I use the rocket x2 for racing 1/2s for about 1:45 pace..I tried the adios pro3,not good..the asics Paris line, not good..the Cielo x1 has the cushioning but not easy on the feet, same as the Saucony endorphin pro4..the only one that I really like is the NB SC elite V4..I can't get it in the regular width so I been using in a wide..I think the regular width is quite sloppy fit..also can't get the alphafly V3 or the cara carbon easily due to availability..makes the process frustrating when you can't get a shoe that might work..every shoe I've ever used goes flat in the forefoot so I will have to change out the insoles during the race and I carry 1 or 2 extra pairs with me for any race past 10mi..by then the insole is as flat as a sheet of paper..a high arch and a forefoot striker are the death of cushioning and insoles..
@@brokenfreddy1262 Same AG is me and about what I would hope for a marathon if trained for it. I focus more on halves and am somewhat faster than you there around 1:42 on a good day. Best of luck on catching that BQ! think Gara and SC Elite v4 are solid choices as could be any of the Xtep (if you can find them) as they all have some flex to their carbon plates and a denser if very energetic foam. Good morning. Interesting description about the Diadora 2024. I have not seen this brand in Spain 🇪🇸. Like to RoadTrailRun. A nice week for everyone.
You have unique insights. I think you would make awesome shoe reviews even if you weren’t running in these shoes.
Thanks!
Welcome back Sam (so my question is that I am looking in to a trainer shoe from Diadora what do you recommend?…)
Thanks! For regular day to day training of those here the Cellula
I will go with the cellula thanks 🙏
Welcome back Sam, we missed you for sure.
He’s back!
Wecome back Sam.
Thanks!
Welcome back! How does the Cellula compare to the Atomo V7000? Which do you consider to be a softer ride? The V7000 is higher stack and lower weight with what appears to be a similar use case. The "outrigger" on the Gara Carbon is too much and unnecessary for me as a heel striker. It should have been reduced to lower the overall weight. The prices are disappointing compared to the competition.
V7000 from memory higher stack firmer stiffer ride. Similar use case but as not made in Italy far lower price -$80. Beg to differ on outrigger on Gara. I tend to heel strike and it keeps rear and soft foam under control unlike most other super shoes.
Hi. Frequenza looks great but howis is it will on wide foot? they looks little narrow.
Can you confirm that the Cellula is 33/28mm stack? I’ve seen it listed at 40/35mm, as well as Diadora mentioning its 40mm on their website…
Sorry about that. 33/28 is midsole only. We have 39/34 in our written review which came from Diadora www.roadtrailrun.com/2024/03/diadora-gara-carbon-review-italian.html
