I agree with Clive Mortimores comment. I was a Punk, back in 1977. I remember it changed by the mid 1980s . It became uniformed. My favorite bands back then were the Damned, Sex Pistols 🔫, the Stranglers, the Buzzcocks. I miss those days, I'm in my sixties now.
@@HarryFlashman. Hurry up Harry I want to go to the pub! Well get there in a flash man. They have a pretentious Punk band playing crap. Should be good. BURP!
i'm in my fifties, and i became a punk rocker in 79 late 79, loved the raw sound then love that raw sound still now,...and I'm still a punk rocker in my mid 50's,....outfit and all,.........marius(punk rules).
Magníficas fotos- Thank you soo much 😎💣💣🏴☠️🏴☠️

I was so happy to be back! Rebellion is punk rock chicken soup for the soul. Back in '79 my mom remarked to anyone and everyone "Oh, you know, it's just a phase." I'd scream all angry 'NUH UH! You don't know anything, mom!' Unlike how most of these stories end...you know, like 'But later on we had such laugh at my teenage foolishness.' or some such garbage. Nope. I was right: she didn't know anything, and continued to actively not know anything, ever; and I spent my life in a fucking phase that saved my life.
Does Rebellion mean average usually old tubby people? I don't understand why it's called Rebellion. Perhaps customers at Iceland frozen foods would be a better description.
Punk was a 70's thing. These pictures just look so sad. None of them look anything like original punks. You were born too late, you missed out, deal with it. We all have to live in this shit life now but there is nothing we can do about it.
Rebellion has lost its way. Now just a cash cow. For a start how is it a punk festival with the likes of Hollie Cook Misty n roots Hawkwind Dread zone Talisman Bob vylan To name a handful , What next year ocean colour scene , Mumford and son maybe
Realy enjoyable to watch . You seem to have captured everything, and weather was great that weekend. Bravo.!!

brilliant, thanks for sharing, I just watched it from beginning to end which is a rarity these days 😄
im with the old rockers.cheers
Back in 76-77 punk was about being yourself, not dressing in a uniform to look like everyone else.
Don't worry, there's always at least one of you saying this exact same thing to look like everyone else that says this.
It was about being frustrated and about being "against" and about being dressed in just another uniform.

Being very much busy with keeping up appearances, aka living a shallow & artificial life.
I loved every minute of this! People watching is so much fun, I never get sick of it. Thanks for taking the time to create and upload this Patrick!
Cheers💗
These friken pictures are annoying😬 much prefer video
nice style
Увидеть чела в футболке посчёт "За Украину" - эт круть, и чела в футболке "Moscow Death Brigade" - увидеть было удивительно. Спасиб за видос.
I could've sworn that music was 'Nice Guys Finish Last' by Green Day for a second !
Does part of the festival take part in the public street then ????????

Cause we’re still rebelling ,even against our waistlines…it’s a state of mind!
How very judgemental and narrow minded of you Mark.. you could say the Rebellion is against turning into someone like you.
Nice kazongas
0:15 - didn't that 'Dr + Medics' bloke used to perform in street in Camden Town ????
Yeah - wearing stupid clothes doesn't make you a rebel. Engaging in armed revolt against an unjust and oppressive government does.
Maybe punk isn't dead but it sure has aged a lot... most of the people in the pictures I think are my age... born 1965
Conformity Festival
Very clean punks nowadays
Punks who own vacuum cleaners
You've probably not come across the crust scene!
Would have liked to have gone to that, Billy no mates me.

LARPers.
...cool video tho.
If they were rebels surely they would all be in prison? Not just wearing stupid clothes in a crappy seaside town in the UK

You don't knoe the history of punk if you are not aware of the connections and cross-overs between punk and the genres of the groups you have listed.

Rebellion looks like a corporate fashion parade for weekend punk's. Old people trying to relive their youth. Give it up ffs. Punk is Dead.
El punk existe y reciste 👏🏽👏🏽💪🏽🇦🇷♥️👊🏾👌🏽
It is probably dead but, represents a good excuse to go out and listen some concerts and drink a bit
Punk is underground, and has been for about thirty years. So many bands and genres these days...it would blow your mind!
Rehash after rehash after rehash!!! Regurgitation after regurgitation after regurgitation....
🥱🥱🥱🥱
Pretend punks for the weekend.
No originality...no protest...no fackin idea of what punk is or should be.
Embarrassing.
