My husband's family had an old wishbone plush that spoke "your imagination can take you anywhere!" When I started dating my husband and went to his parent's house for dinner one night, we were talking about favorite childhood tv shows and his sister brought out the old wishbone plush. Needless to say, this plush has seen better years and is more than a decade old. And yet, it still spoke. Not in the fun, chipper way he used to. No wishbone was possessed by all of the demons that hell decided to release and his gravelly, robotic, minor voice still haunts me to this day. And to make things more terrifying, when I would visit that house wishbone would somehow jumpscare me at any given moment.

I feel like you might appreciate this story: when I was in grad school, a friend of mine was teaching an undergrad course on Renaissance history. One of the big important texts everyone reads in a Renaissance history college class is The Prince by Machiavelli, and my friend wanted to assign it. So he went through various publishers' catalogues (not as fun as Scholastic book pamphlets) and ordered the cheapest edition he could find. When it arrived, he figured out that he'd ordered... the Wishbone edition of the Prince, produced for grade-school kids. The downfall of not knowing who Wishbone is! :)

read the Po-ta-to poster, knowing its more of a LOTR thing, but me as a horse person remebered the horse Potoooooooo (aka Pot-8-o), pronounced potato and that was the intended name of the horse but the owner got amused by the spelling mistake. He got his name spelled this way allegedly because of a insecure stable hand who couldnt spell...... just some random fact on a saturday night..

I remember how excited I used to be for book fairs. I always went to the science books. I should still have my book on geology and rock types somewhere. It's so small compared to the books I read now. Child me would be so jealous of how big my books are now.
Also, I adored watching Wishbone. That was the reason behind watching Sherlock movies and TV shows.
