a lot of props, even cars such as one of the original DeLorean used in the back to the future films were left out in the elements for decades in the universal lot, until very recently where it was basically rebuilt. Some people go to great lengths to preserve such props or to recreate them such as prosthetic master Tom Sivanni for the Horror crowed
They only need to be good enough to look good on the screen. Time is money, so a production won't typically waste money overbuilding. Whereas some cosplay props/outfits have significantly more time put into them, partly a labour of love and they will get more up close scrutiny.
@@Thermalions oh for sure, any time not spent finishing the inside of a helmet that'll never be seen can be extra time spent on the main hero suit or something.
they look like they been to the moon and back!!!
damn, were they stored in the boot of someone's car?
Looks like the Yellow Ranger's helmet was thrown down the stairs...
Dude said "reasonable deterioration" 😂
Demasiada nostalgia. Ninguna temporada y ninguna saga tendrá tanto impacto como los primeros..
Man, those costumes have not aged well... I remember seeing those costumes in PR material as a kid and they seemed to be made from leather. Back then I thought they kind of looked "kinky" and I didn't like it all that much. I wasn't old enough to be able to see the movie in cinemas and it's interesting to see them up close now... realising they are not made from leather AT ALL. :D
These big money movie costumes from almost 30 years ago look like a current day cosplayer could make them no problem.
It's so cool history wise, but i would not buy these at all, they look disgusting.
I'd buy a suit just for the helmet
I grew up watching original MMPR tv show. Im first gen. I was 15 years old when first episode premiered on tv and wached first appearance of Rita, Zordon and Rangers and was very happy and i saw the movie when first released in theatres and loved them. Bit dated today but still follow the series and movies now. I have both MamPR the movie 1995 and saban power rangers 2017 on dvd still. The suits look old, bad shape but still look awsome and seeing them in bad condition is sad. I feel old too seeing these. Feels long ago since. 1990s seems soooooo long ago.
bruh these are complete garbage. I feel bad for anyone who pays over a thousand for all of these.
0:53 he said they used the zyuranger from Japan scenes for the MMPR but didn't they only do that for the 1st Season since their is only one zyuranger season or are there more?
Zyu2. Saban specifically contacted toei and had them film more zyuranger footage that was used for the latter half of s2 and all of s3.
Fun fact, they were deteriorating on set because of the shitty PVC. Jason David Frank's costume especially. If you have the soundtrack CD look at White Ranger's thigh and you'll see obvious suit damage.
Oh really big inspector uh
I was excited to see the PW costumes and also loved the bad guy gear from Willow on the left.
Those costumes are perfect. Much cooler than the ones in the recent film. A good upgrade from the show.
