As far as quality goes yes. They are much nicer that Epiphones (hand made vs machine cut). But as far as risk goes that is up to you. It takes 3 months and they can get confiscated or broken during shipping. I have had no issues, but I was lucky.

I was looking at this one but I decided against it because of the pick guard. I don't like the writing on it. I found one with no pickguard, that had good reviews. I use revalver 4 when I play and it squash squealing and also virtually swap pickups and emulate other guitars, amps, and tones. I only play in my house so it will be fine.
the writing is a sticker that can come off, you just peel it off. And also you can find these w/o pickguards or you can just simply remove them, it's just a few small screws.
They're stickers. And like I said they have a ton to chose from that don't have pickguards.. I don't do the pickguard thing either. I had an original black LP w/ pickguard and a 77' ibanez LP copy both pickguards came right off. They're tiny holes can't see them unless you're looking.. but you can get these w/o them. You can even email the seller and tell them you don't want a pickguard on it, they'll make sure it's solid.. I've requested lots of changes in the past.. like ebony fretboard instead of rosewood. and different inlays, no gibson logo etc.. they'll do it.
never seen pallets built out of mahogany, maple and ebony but ok.. It is real. Might not be the best cut and quality of these woods but they are solid and built from these real tone woods. Not pine or ply wood etc.. .

I own two Gibson Les Paul Traditionals - a 2009 Trad+ Iced Tea Burst and a 2014 Trad Pro II Heritage Cherry Burst (among many other guitars), so I know what to look for.

ifly65 You're exactly right. There are several photos on the internet of the heel area of the neck on Jimmy's #2 1959 Burst and in every photo the heel is painted black. One photo actually has his #1 & #2 side by side. His #1 was refinished by Lay's Guitar Shop in Ohio when Joe Walsh owned it. Due to the refinish, the serial number was painted over. Mr. Lay also took a ton of wood out of the neck for more of a 60's type neck. When Joe Walsh got the guitar back he said the neck was way to slim and he sold it to Jimmy in April of 1969 at The Fillmore West for $1,200. Jimmy later bought #2 also which is a 1959 burst. After he broke the neck on his #2 he painted over the repair crack with black paint. Very nice guitar you got there btw!!!

I guess I got lucky all of my chibsons seem hand assembled. They are better than any Epiphone I see at work each day or the Epiphone LP I briefly owned. You should do a video showing the issues. I never got a Chibson, but I got a Chartin D-45 acoustic. The tuners were garbage, but the guitar is excellent after set up, and.tuner swaps. I'm not an acoustic player, so I needed a budget axe for short practice. Epiphones are nice, but cost twice as much, and most of them have Chinese electrical parts, just like the Chibson. I'm more of a Japson guy. I got a few Greco's, and an Orville, by Gibson.

Haha. Right from the jump I see Epiphone/metric pickup rings, cheapo pickups with no screw poles, Nashville bridge, cheapo stop tail and I guarantee the build itself is awful. Take the pickups out and you won't see a maple cap, no long neck tenon and garbage wiring and electronics. You're also supporting Chinese criminals who produce illegal counterfeit goods. I'd rather spend the $300 on top level pickups and put it in an Epiphone than buy that thing.

I change out PUs and hardware all the time. Most of mine have been sold as fakes and restored to original parts prior to selling. @@User-gfys-0icu81
Haha. Right from the jump I see Epiphone/metric pickup rings, cheapo pickups with no screw poles, Nashville bridge, cheapo stop tail and I guarantee the build itself is awful. Take the pickups out and you won't see a maple cap, no long neck tenon and garbage wiring and electronics. You're also supporting Chinese criminals who produce illegal counterfeit goods. I'd rather spend the $300 on top level pickups and put it in an Epiphone than buy that thing.
Yes these are not real. These are most likely made at the Epiphone factory. Gibson isnt much better if you are speaking about morality do your research about the poor business practices and craftsmanship they are now known for.

Exactly. Thanks twintriode. Fake, not in USA...YES, cheap ass...NO. This guitar is a work of art. Basically hand made and plays great. Do your research thedusty rhodes on what you actually buy at the Guitar Center these days. Gibson is using cheap ASS parts from overseas...etc.
everybody complains that it sounds like shit compared to gibson and that you have to replace everything. but let's be real, prolly the only things that need to be changed are the pickups.
The stock set up is fine for low volumes or beginners. They are microphonic, non-potted epiphone copies. Yes the switch, jack and pots work fine.
I tore one apart and they are potted .
If you want an entry level electric prs se guitars put any other imports to shame even fender cant keep up with prs
