In Codename Jade, players take on the role of Xia, living in ancient China during the second century BC. It's a time of significant cultural exchange and trade between East and West, but also filled with hidden threats and challenges. As an adopted child of Master Wei Yu, the players' journey begins when their close friend is betrayed, and they seek revenge. But as they progress, they unravel secrets from the past and discover a powerful force that poses a threat to everything they cherish. The game features a vast world, including the Great Wall and ancient Chinese cities, where players will navigate through perilous historic landscapes. They'll face the Xiongnu and tackle various conspiracies while shouldering greater responsibilities and encountering new challenges.

Mannnn I have to admire how far mobile games have come I remember playing the Java edition of Assassins Creed all the time as a kid and to see something like this is truly amazing
And it's 2d games, and it was awesome !!!!
That and the prince of persia one. Ubisoft did some good mobile games on that pre android era.
Especially when there was 3d versions on the ds or psp.

Combat was a lot more fun for me in Jade than Odyssey.
Bro for a mobile game this looks really impressive. It shows that mobile devices are capable of having open world games like this if devs are willing to put effort into it. Sure the voice acting can be better but to even get something with this much quality on mobile can make me forget that flaw .

Impressive, animations and the movement physics are a bit janky… but still impressive. Hopefully the final release will be well optimized with stable frame rates.

That's because isse mobile devices ko thodi recognition milegi and people will also play Exclusive mobile games kyuki switch sabke paas nhi hota, phone sabke paas hota hai even those who have good pc or consoles.
They should make a series of games for mobile for AC imo.
@@beatsbyabhrait shouldn’t be. Exclusives are very annoying, especially if it’s a mobile exclusive for a PC/console franchise. A lot of the AC fan base do not even like mobile games and stick to their gaming mediums, so it doesn’t make a lot of sense to wall them from playing AC Jade

It's a different spin off game.
And spin off games are good for building engagement all throughout the different platforms.

Remember, PSP also had AC bloodline (I hope I am taking the name correct for this one) exclusively. It's definitely connected to the main games but is a spin off.
It was there to build engagement on all the platforms. Similarly, they are also doing it to build engagement.
Mobile players will get to experience the very first proper AC game on their phone now.
And this game also doesn't has any specific character.
You get to design your own character and probably the name aswell, meaning it's pretty different.
I doubt any protagonist of this game is gonna appear on any Main AC titles.
Maybe a few Easter eggs or one or two characters gets mentioned.
It's just an experience developed for mobile players and believe me, it won't look good on PC and Consoles.
It's also probably cuz they will make Mobile players interested in AC and then slowly release their older titles on Mobile aswell like the first three AC games as they're old enough that modern phones can run them properly I believe.
In this way, they will get more sales.
Understand the Business.
And why it's on Mobile only? Cuz this game is unique, and it will make it a memorable unique game. Just like COD Mobile and 2013 release COD Strike Team, NFS No limits etc.
If they have to release it, they'll probably release it on PC if it gets very popular and Ubisoft sees money in it, or if Lucky, switch.
Ain't no way it's getting a full console release. Never.

And if you don't, it's okay to have an AC game to be played on mobile phone, yet there is no necessity in keeping it mobile-exclusive. And talking about "understand the business," Rockstar releases console GTAs year before doing so on PC, and the previously exclusive RDR franchice was ported to PC, as well. Same goes with Sony, who basically released all of their exclusives on PC (even Ghost of Tsushima) - the only difference they did it with a 2-3+ years delay. Nowadays, business isn't about exclusivity, it's about coverage. The aforementioned companies keep the players' interest by increasing their coverage and releasing exclusives on other platforms with delay. And from that perspective, it would make sense to port Jade to PC (and maybe consoles, too) a year after releasing it on mobile phones. That's how I see it, and that's how I hope it happens. If not - would be cool if they release a PC game in the same setting.
@@beatsbyabhra regarding Bloodlines argument - it was a PS2 era game, and back then exclusives were a thing. Now they're not. The quality argument also doesn't sound credible, as we had AC Liberation, a PSP game ported to PC, and it looked okay as the same engine as for AC III/IV was used. Even if Jade's graphics looks 5-years outdated on PC, it will still be a decent bonus game to play. I watch the demo in 2K on my gaming laptop, and the world looks good, the only complaints are about lighting and NPC models/detalization, yet it's something that can be easily fixed for a PC port. Anyway, we'll see how the game will end up.
We need a proper AAA Chinese Assassin's Creed so badly. Put it in during a famous era like the Three Kingdoms and add some Chinese fantastical elements like Xianxia cultivation, fantastical Chinese creatures and legendary weapons and armor and it'd be a dream come true.

I know most don't like this type of AC game but it seriously blows that this setting is confined to a mobile game only. Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla are all visually impressive just imagine Jade could be.
Especially b/c I enjoy collecting the AC series physically.
It's fine because I imagine they're going to reuse a lot of the assets from this game for the Fuedal Japan game, which I would much rather have on PC than this

@@DeviniteHD yes, it is too repetitive. I know the ai voice lines are placeholders but overall the story aspect is extremely barebones, it wouldn’t be that bad if the gameplay was challenging or fun but it isn’t.

I sure hope the final game has actual voice acting... The AI voice makes it feel cheap to say the least. But still better than no voice at all.
The AI voices should be fucking illegal. Sounds bad, and most importantly it's putting thousands or probs millions of jobs at risk. If this gets normalized and there's no regulation, we're fucked.
the MC has some of his lines done, but the NPCs have yet to be given a voice actor.

It clearly isn't as good and fluent in it's gameplay as console and PC.. but man, the fact that this is a mobile game and it looks better than PS3 is insane. It looks great. I hope if you use a controller though, that all the touch crap is gone and/or modified to fit the layout better.

I saw whole 2h demo. Many things are not finished. Voice acting, cutscenes, facial animations etc. But its already looking good for a mobile game. Its mainly based on Odyssey systems with some mechanics from Valhalla and some new mechanics.

Is there any news on how well this runs and what the battery drain is like? I'm all for furthering the mobile tech but personally feel like its a bit of a waste of time if the game can only run for 30 mins or so before it really starts to drain the battery. Hope i'm wrong though

Parkour and stealth are smooth but assassination moves are less so they should add more assassination with styles then the game will be perfect in my opinion

We need an AC game about Ancient Rome.
15 minutes and 19 secords of gameplay and this already got what feels like a better polished gameplay than the stuff that they released for consoles, it even got cooler animations and more parkour moves while simultaneously using same engine and assets from Origins to Valhalla. Bruh, Ubisoft got a very unappreciated mobile team.
