Personally, I think the best way to get comps is an average over the last 5 sold. That gives a consistent market value of that player because you have to play it as the stock market.
Always go by the last few 3-5 sold and actually SOLD I hate when people say well this persons listing it for this price so I go by that. It’s like okay buddy good luck bc no one’s going to over pay and no one goes off of those comps besides sellers no buyers will buy at 110% of comps lol
I can see both sides of it. I don't know if guess I do a little bit of both. Depends on the card for me. But I really think if should be an average of a few past sales.
It’s hard to say there’s a 1 size fits all way to find a price of a card. Just because a $10 card sold for $50 doesn’t mean it’s $50 and vice versa, gotta be nuanced 💯 dope vid :)
I believe it depends on the type of card. Vintage hold a long term value and sell at price constantly vs someone tryna buy a player with potential and sales are everywhere then id average it.
@@bubblesnz1059 99% of the time, there are thick inners, and patches aren't even what you want from most of these packs these days. The thicker the pack, the more I hope someone else opens it most of the time. Look at my videos, for example LOL
A comp should be from the average . If you are only using the last , then you are going by last sold and not a comp . Comp means comparitive pricing , so the more examples you use in the average , the closer to a true comp you'll be .
So I met marks right hand man, mike on loupe well before they opened the physical store, they are awesome people and take very good care of their customers, mike would send me some seattle cards in my packages and I would trade him any yankees I pulled, I got to see behind the scenes of them building the inside of the store, they had the loupe desk set up on a poker table in the middle of the store, tik tok desk used to be in the back by the bathroom door, mark has done amazing things with his store , but juice , if you wanna hear a funny storie about loupe and me , ask Mike next time your in about me 😅
Funny thing at shows and shops when dealer or employee even person to person they say last comp is king when high when they selling but when they buying the outlier amount is someone creating a fake comp.
11:54 there’s no way that card was worth $1200 at one point was there?!?! $1200- $85?! That’s just u exaggerating right? Like seriously there’s no possible way?? Sry I’m just mind blown if this is true
@@LootboxTVreviews They must have changed their policy then. About a year or so ago they didn't take raw cards. You're new to vegas so i get that you wouldn't know that.
Average is better than last comp because there are some crazy buyers and sellers out there. Their desperation is not a proper reflection of the current true market value of the card.
Seems like a cool shop but they sell on a ton of platforms and seems like every platform including eBay has a chunk of poor reviews. Too many involving missing big cards from breaks just from reading through them after seeing this video and recognizing the logo. Not at all saying they are bad in any way I just wouldn’t join a break if I’m seeing any of that in feedback across multiple platforms
It's important to read feedback and do your research when joining breaks. HOWEVER, I would take some reviews with a grain of salt. On their eBay profile they have a 98.8%! 9000+ positive reviews, and only 32 negative. One person leaving 3 reviews. Others where people fixed their problems off-line but never updated a review. Interesting but you bring up point to look at.
@ yeah 100 percent. They do a lot of volume and I’m sure not everyone has a great experience which can happen in a growing business across multiple platforms always. Very much to be taken into consideration but not as a bible as to what your own experience is or would be. The missing cards, especially higher valued ones either shipped incorrectly or missing is one they need to nip in the butt though. Can’t speak on a personal level to any of it but as a consumer it’s a potential red flag without knowing the reason or outcomes
25:00 dude is a legend. Can tell he’s actually passionate/serious about what he’s doing. Hope him the best

He is an awesome person and super funny.
22:26 THE TIMING 😂 very cool shop, I gotta come visit in Vegas baby!!
This was dope juice! Love the direction of the content.. keep it up mang
Thank you! I appreciate it
Love the genesis Melos. Beautiful parallels
This is the coolest card shop I’ve ever seen! Definitely a priority when I visit Vegas!
It's an awesome place
I did the same thing as you mate this week, sold my lamelo hoops sticker auto and upgraded to an impeccable on card auto

Not a bad idea.
@LootboxTVreviews within that five, you should see a constant value with a mix of high and low. Statically saying.
People easily market manipulate. Be careful with last sale
@DabCityyy as that may be true. You can tell which were boasted to a higher market value.

Very cool and fun video. The way I see it, if you're happy with the offers then that's all that matters. Love these vids.

Bob Ross is the GOAT! Lootbox. I would love to have that card.
LOL! It's dope for sure.
I gk to vegas twice a year for either a family or a bowling tournament. You are definitely a stop next time I'm in town
I grade my pokemon cards here all the time! Great place and they really let you know if it's worth grading based on condition.

the reason some dont is because of pack searching. I like to see it, but would want to see them behind the counter

lamelo is the goat if you have any more ill buy em because hes my favorite player
Nah, i have strong ones I'm keeping.
okay
No one is offering those type of trade in values. That's wild.
What do you mean?
Crazy that bron is only a hundo, i would of thought at least two or more
RIGHT!
I don’t use highest or lowest of last 5 so I use the 3 other for average
That's a good thing

Yes, use to be. I just checked and I can only see back to 2022. It sold for $950.
as long as there are multiple tranacstions in last 30-45 days i take the adverage of last 4-5
Love it!
Depends on if the player is hot. If he is, I'm not wanting to go back a month just for the sake of the average.
Did they change their policy? I thought they only took in graded cards or is that a special deal for youtubers
They take everything from everyone. No idea what you're talking about. 🤷🏻♂️

Tre Mann not terry rosier
Hate the comp screw that I know the facts on every HQ card , weather it came perfection or not, no comp whores

hobby is changing. too many flippers and way too much value on new players with little proven skill.
Too many flippers indeed.
That's why I'm getting out of cards. Getting everything organized by player and selling in lots at some point.

Average comps
Best way to comp. Take the last 10 sales. Get the average of them. That’s the price it’s worth. BINGO! 🪄
