I was one of those people, but I’ll be happy to be wrong. I just felt like they took Meyers again basically but in the 2nd. I will say his upside is like Devante Adam’s if he hits his ceiling. Time will tell.
There’s always a chance, but there’s no legitimate reason to think that other than blind hope. If those 2 players were drafted to any other team, you would not think that
We don't know ANYTHING about this team. It sure is going to be interesting as hell to see it unfold though. I still can't imagine they will be the worst team in football, even worse than the Panthers. I just don't see it but stay tuned. Camp will be here before you know it.
@@Jakery1057 being the worst team is on the table. This roster is not good on paper. However winning close games is possible and getting 6 wins with some good fortune

@@thatDUDEfromMAINE I know fans tend to overrate their own players, but let's stop this Meyers nonsense. He's at best a 3rd receiver on a good passing offense. He's solid, will never do anything spectacular and isn't close to a #1. You can find guys like that cheaper so that was no big loss.

You are right about Mac Jones single-handedly losing many games. Problem now is that we don't have Bill controlling the defense. With Belichick, we would be guaranteed to have a top defense. With Mayo, who the hell knows. That's his job though, he needs to make sure the defense stays on top. If he can't do that then time to look for the next coach because he won't be bringing anything to the table. I won't blame him for the offense or the personnel, but he better have a top defense.

The only thing that matters now is if Maye can be a franchise qb. If he can, there will be receivers and coaches around the league wanting to come here. Talented receivers without a qb is nothing. If Maye can be really good then a well run team will be able to make something special out of it. Takes a really bad organization to screw that up. Something like the Chargers in recent years.
That's bs and these media guys know it. Most analysts rank the Pats in the top 5 on defense. You can't be a top defense and have the worst team in the league. Their special teams is pretty good too. They have a bad offense, but much of that was Mac Jones. If Maye can be really good then the Pats ranking on offense goes way up. They will have the toughest find at the most important position. Any team should be able to build an offense around a franchise qb. WRs and coaches around the league will want to come here. Pretty hard to mess that up. If Maye isn't any good then back to the drawing board looking for the next qb.
