Tamerainian culture is extremely different from human culture. They are more proactive in raising their children than humans are in general. It would make sense for her to know how to cook even though she's royalty because of the values she was brought up with.

I've always enjoyed the teen titans comics, I can definitely say that this cartoon was the perfect balance of action and comedy, Judas contract and justice league vs. teen titans were othe very impressive movies but when teen titans go first aired my reaction was simply..."WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?" I was very displeased with teen titans go to say the least.
The Teen Titans characters were great (edit: I have mixed views with the overall series), but I never was a fan of Starfire's depiction. They made her look, sound, and act 12-years-old like most Anime lolies and was slightly annoying at times such as being clingy to Robin and childlike to everyone. How Starfire is supposed to be depicted the right way: Picture Ms. Sara Bellum from Power Puff Girls, but as a 19-year-old with unearthly superpowers.
She's the definition of innocent and preciousness.
