It doesn't matter if this is a homo or hetero or any other kind of relationship, if my friend wants to keep something a secret I keep it a secret. I might try to convince them that this is a bad idea, but I'll do it in private. I might even try to discriminate and undermine the bully, but without risking my friends' image. Wai's response was to put them on speakers for everyone to hear their private conversation. And then, when Pran confronted Wai to say that he is sorry, Wai manipulated conversation into making Pran more guilty - selfish and childlike behavior. I'm not saying that Wai doesn't have his (self justified) reasons - there are some serious issues there - but he definitely doesn't care for the wellbeing of a person he calls "best friend". Actually Pat wasnt necessarily lied to his friends. They kinda found out first that Pat was having a crush and 'chasing' someone from the architecture faculty. Bcs Pat had been ditching the rugby practices, join the architecture activities and also participating in the theatre, so that was why Pat's friends were suspected him of that. The thing is they thought it was a girl at first, and never crossed on their mind that it would be Pran. I think that was why Pat's friends reaction were not as extreme as Wai's.

However, I find myself somewhat sympathising with Wai because if feels hurt that his best friend would hide something like this from him (suggests that Pran doesn't really trust him, which can really be hard to process). I am slightly inclined to believe there is also some jealous there as well - be it platonic or romantic; probably fearing that he will lose Pran to Pat.

When Wai said "Okay or not okay, I should've been the one to decide", I think he genuinely means that of course he would've been okay with Pran dating or being friends with Pat, because Pran is his best friend, and what he's actually hurt and upset about is that Pran didn't believe that he would be okay with it. Cause ultimately humans are not all that rational and a little too often fail at doing the right thing. I think the fact that Wai did it out of hurt and not for fun does change a lot of things, which is why Pran is willing to talk it out and still forgive him. Pran would also have had all the right to end their friendship after something like that, but I understand why he would want to work things out with Wai. Pat and Pran always talking things out is honestly the reason why I love this series so much, it shows one of the healthiest relationships I’ve ever seen in a movie/series.

Rewatching this, I'm realizing that the whole "curtain drop" incident ultimately meant precisely nothing to Pat and Pran. I mean sure, it was humiliating and uncomfortable being publicly exposed like that, and Pran did feel (unjustly) guilty about upsetting Wai the Divo, but in terms of their relationship with each other, it changed nothing at all. They just stuck to each other and trusted their own feelings, kept calm and carried on. When you've found your person, you just know it!
If Wai is a true friend, he should have known what Pran is going through because of their family relationship(Pran and Pat) hence him having a hard time revealing their relationship. Wai should have talked to Pran personally and let him know that he(Wai) knows his secret.

It doesn't matter if this is a homo or hetero or any other kind of relationship, if my friend wants to keep something a secret I keep it a secret. I might try to convince them that this is a bad idea, but I'll do it in private. I might even try to discriminate and undermine the bully, but without risking my friends' image. Wai's response was to put them on speakers for everyone to hear their private conversation. And then, when Pran confronted Wai to say that he is sorry, Wai manipulated conversation into making Pran more guilty - selfish and childlike behavior. I'm not saying that Wai doesn't have his (self justified) reasons - there are some serious issues there - but he definitely doesn't care for the wellbeing of a person he calls "best friend". Actually Pat wasnt necessarily lied to his friends. They kinda found out first that Pat was having a crush and 'chasing' someone from the architecture faculty. Bcs Pat had been ditching the rugby practices, join the architecture activities and also participating in the theatre, so that was why Pat's friends were suspected him of that. The thing is they thought it was a girl at first, and never crossed on their mind that it would be Pran. I think that was why Pat's friends reaction were not as extreme as Wai's.

However, I find myself somewhat sympathising with Wai because if feels hurt that his best friend would hide something like this from him (suggests that Pran doesn't really trust him, which can really be hard to process). I am slightly inclined to believe there is also some jealous there as well - be it platonic or romantic; probably fearing that he will lose Pran to Pat.

He absolutely did fail as a best friend because he chose to expose Pran to the whole school just because he was hurt. Pat was hurt by Pran when Pran kept denying his love, yet Pat chose to talk it out with Pran.

Like you said, he should’ve talked it out with Pran, that would have been the right thing to do. I just wanted to add an understanding for Wai simply because humans are really complicated beings, there are so many sides to things, I like trying to see the whole picture and all the angles, and sympathize with characters where I can even when they’re being a dick. Cause ultimately humans are not all that rational and a little too often fail at doing the right thing. I think the fact that Wai did it out of hurt and not for fun does change a lot of things, which is why Pran is willing to talk it out and still forgive him. Pran would also have had all the right to end their friendship after something like that, but I understand why he would want to work things out with Wai.
Pat and Pran always talking things out is honestly the reason why I love this series so much, it shows one of the healthiest relationships I’ve ever seen in a movie/series.

Rewatching this, I'm realizing that the whole "curtain drop" incident ultimately meant precisely nothing to Pat and Pran. I mean sure, it was humiliating and uncomfortable being publicly exposed like that, and Pran did feel (unjustly) guilty about upsetting Wai the Divo, but in terms of their relationship with each other, it changed nothing at all. They just stuck to each other and trusted their own feelings, kept calm and carried on. When you've found your person, you just know it!
If Wai is a true friend, he should have known what Pran is going through because of their family relationship(Pran and Pat) hence him having a hard time revealing their relationship. Wai should have talked to Pran personally and let him know that he(Wai) knows his secret.
