- Paid out loads for this Lodge only for it to be in a area where work was happening
AND THE STAFF DIDNT TELL US WHEN WE GOT THE KEYS.
Went back, within minutes, THEY CLAMED TO NOT KNOW WORK WAS HAPPENING IN THE AREA. Which was a lie, the workmen had prove the work was happening that week, so much so their didn't know holiday makers where arriving in that area as our parking bay was took by them, but all the men where brilliant. Saying sorry everyday, we give the cup of tea one day as it was raining and their still worked. On Thursday mum and I complained again as I was very depressed and not slept the whole time.
Now when arrived back to reception when saw what was happening we could of moved into a caravan but I lose out on decking which I wanted for Grace's safety to play out on. They didn't say anything about a refund for this so we said no. Only for them to change their answer to oh the workmen shouldn't be on site working long hours. 8am till 8pm everyday but Thursday 8am till 9pm Hot tub out of action two days, Monday and Thursday - Thursday when it was a don't go pass the gate and open the lid as now it's dangerous, no vouchers for meal no refund to say sorry. Grace got a sparkle Teddy, whilst mum, me and Gary got cheap wine and chocolate to share and we don't drink alcohol. The chocolate was Lindor so happy with that.
My neighbour heard about this and helped me with an report complains email. currently waiting.
Another family was next door to us also, who didn't get told about the work either so two families with young children having their family spoilt cause parkdean resorts couldn't be bothered to check calendar for decking company to be working on 8 caravans in that one area. The company said this are should of been closed off as dangerous work was expected. Decking company as said said sorry and having words with the park.
The tv remote with the network videos is misleading than,in we got Internet in the Lodge when haven't so hopefully it will as the other caravans and lodges getting decking on was all to buy.
Aww …. We stayed in a privately owned Lodge identical to this at Summerfields a few weeks ago. We loved it. The trouble is there’s only one of them on the site there. Didn’t know they had any at Caton Bay.
Yeah these are all new.. I had a video.what was their but lost the clip. Their was a few different lodges even had 4 bedroom ones.
Can't belive this happened to you. Surely their would of closed the area till decking was done on the rest of the caravans. Seems like the park company didn't care, but the decking company did.
Their claimed to not know the decking company was coming as these companies can just turn up do work. Yet it was a lie. Their did know. I spoke to the decking company the park knew and just didn't care.

Flipping heck. With that description I hope you get a full refund. How can their not tell you when arrived?

I was fuming with this. They could of said to us. The company knew. Their lied about not knowing. The hot tub being out of action was annoying. Hopefully Looby will get a refund. Even if it's half.
