@@ittechni You have inspired me to replicate your installation. I ended up using x86_64 and x86_64-v3 binary packages together. I didn't find any doc but I can imagine it's referred to micro architecture. I gave priority 1 to x86_64-v3 and 100 to x86_64. I kept going until KDE emerged. I have set portage to prioritize binary ones but i notice a problem when in main repos there are also a bin packages (like qtwebengine which is known take years to compile) emerge is going to install the source packages if you don't run -G option. I know is a stupid think, but it has been a good learning experience, thank you very much.
