You know what they say... rain is one rider's curse, but another one's blessing. The UCI MTB Downhill World Cup in Snowshoe was different though. After two races in the dry, the conditions in West Virginia took everyone by surprise and even the biggest fans of the wet were struggling to find grip. The weather cleared for finals and the fans could cheer in the sun, but on track it was as sleek as it has even been, making the race anyone's game. Eliot Jackson was on ground for the whole week, trying to make sense of it all.

I don't know how they can really replace Rob next year. He gets it: Every run, every split time, there's drama, and he rises to the moment each and every time.
Tough shoes to fill
Will be years (or probably never) to adjust to not having him call the races.
It’s impossible, he is the voice of the sport and has been! I do t want to hear anyone else’s voice ! What a shame!
Nobody will be as good
Well if this year has shown anything, it's that you are correct. Rik is horrendous. It's only got a bit better recently as Aaron Gwin has joined them.

Fun to run into so many riders in the pits, the musical Oompa-Loompas, the air-horn chainsaw maniacs, Samsquanch and the crazy crowd was off-the-hook.....I'll definitely be back
