  • Greetings everyone and welcome to my new walking tour of Paris!
Paris is renowned for its local farmers' markets on Saturday and Sunday mornings. One of the best things to do in Paris on a Saturday is to stroll through the local markets and street fairs.
Today, I'm visiting the "Marches d'Aligre," the most popular food market in Paris and one of the cheapest markets in the city.
I'll then continue to wander through the Bastille neighborhood, taking in popular streets like the Rue de la Roquette, the Rue de Charonne, and the Rue de Lappe.

    24:41: Rue de la Bastille
The Marche d'Aligre or Marche Beauvau located on the Place d'Aligre in the 12th arrondissement is one of the most beautiful markets in Paris to visit here.
It was notably made famous by the series Emily in Paris. It is also one of the cheapest fresh markets in Paris. Welcome to this hidden gem of Paris!
This market is located near Bastille, at the Ledru Rollin metro station.
The market has two parts: an outdoor section lined with fruit and vegetable stalls and a covered market hall "le marché Beauvau" (built in 1843) dedicated to local farmers, butchers, cheesemakers, and fishmongers.
I start the walk at the end of the Rue d'Aligre, where the prices are the lowest.
The walking tour ends at the Place de la Bastille.
