      Hogan wanted the match and had no problem putting Austin over. It was Austin that didn’t want the match cause he thought there styles would clash and wouldn’t be a great match.

    • @ModernDayRenaissanceMan
      @ModernDayRenaissanceMan День тому +1

      @@anthonycairo9202honestly I think it's true. I keep trying to book that match in my head and I just don't see how the two of them can wrestle. They're going to throw a lot of punches at each other. Austin's going to stomp Hogan in the corner. Austin can get the Lou Thesz press on Hogan. Hogan can get the running forearm and probably a slam on Austin. Hogan can get the boot and the leg drop and you have to have Austin kick out of it. Then Austin is going to hit the stunner and Hogan's going to kick out of that. And then finally Hogan goes for a leg drop and misses and Steve hits another stunner or two and finally pins Hogan.
      I would guess at some point during the match Hogan and Steve are going to go to the outside and Hogan is going to get bloodied. It's going to have to be a brawl of some sort and Hogan is going to have to play it the way he did with HBK and really look like he is hurting. He does that come from behind baby face act too well. That's the only way it's believable and he makes Stone Cold look strong and they don't have to do a ton of moves. It's not like Rock versus Hogan was a technical masterpiece. The thing is that the rock had four or five moves more than Stone Cold and could make it work and he was much more flashier in the ring and the way that they implemented the weight belt during the match helped. Steve doesn't have those kinds of moves and it would probably be 5 minutes shorter. I'm guessing you would probably see the million dollar dream get put on Hogan to kill some time. Steve would have to dig deep into his repertoire. Maybe even a sharpshooter.
      Could they have a good match? Yes I think they could. But I don't think they could have four or five good matches. There is basically one or two scripts they could go by and that's about it. And I don't think anyone would buy Hogan winning. At that time Hogan was going over every legend and he would have had to job to Austin. I mean even at the end he wouldn't do the job for Randy Orton. I also feel like Brock Lesnar versus Hogan should have been a pay-per-view instead of a free match.
